At least post a link to the episode... We shouldn't allow morals to degrade that much.

Episode 7 - HS

Based on Senjougahara's words alone, Archie should be right, but considering her personality and past actions, I unfortunately would predict Shinta's interpretation to be correct.

I wasn't overly surprised Kaiki walked away without a scratch (aside from his phone). In the first place, Araragi doesn't seem to be much of a fighter. His words to his sisters always suggest he could kick ass, but in reality he can barely beat Mayoi. In my opinion this tells more about his mindset than any potential he should have from the vampire background, dojo background, and whatnot. He simply doesn't like to fight at all, even though he seems to like getting beaten to a pulp by girls... With a personality like that, it would be a long stretch to assume him to attack Kaiki to teach him a lesson. It's too bad this left the taste of a small contradiction compared to the Nadeko arc in Bakemono, where he anguished over letting the snake to escape and thus possibly hurt someone else. But maybe he really learned his lesson back then.
