D. is for Danger. Pretty interesting stuff, the start of a promising adventure in the New World. We haven't seen the last of Weakahoshi, she is an Ancient weapon that the government and other organizations seek. Also I believe the person the Swamp man was referring to is Black Beard. Unless some ridiculous power protects her, Fisherman Island is doomed. Imagine if they get the Noah fixed, Weakahoshi gains total control of her powers and join the crew, not going to happen but still.

Glad to be moving on, really hated this arc, but made up for it a bit towards the end setting up the next portion. Not sure how I feel about Big Mom at the moment, feels a bit lame for being one of the Four Emperors, but we'll see.
I doubt he is talking about Black beard. If there was anyone who would benefit from that sort of thing it would be Don flamingo since he is already knee deep in mostly all of the blackmarket trading in the one piece world. Noone really knows what kaidou is about and black beard is too busy takin over whitebeards old turf. He just tried to rob big mom. Shanks doesn't seem like he would associate with anyone like that and the other super novas are doing their own thing. Which leaves the WG. And only flamingo is dirty enough to have a need for mermaids for sale. Especiallly a mermaid that is one of the ancient weapons.Originally Posted by dragonrage

Well I can say that these next few arcs are going to be packed with awesome turf wars and political battles. I always wondered why we never saw too much of the revolutionary army in the first half of the GL but they are priority 1 for the WG. They must not even bother with the first half of the GL as much due to the lack of impact to their cause. I think luffy and co. might potentially end up fighting people on the WG side and the revolutionary army side. Luffy did say that being PK meant being the most free on the ocean. That might mean that he would not want to side with either of them. Which would make for a lot of interesting dialog and battles.
You still have a good theory toonice714, Don Flamingo may be out of the kidnapping business but he still has connections to the Gorosei (or so it was implied when he killed Geko Moria; which hasn't been confirmed) and they certainly are interested in the ancient weapons as it was seen in the Water 7, and Enies Lobby arcs.
Still think he was talking about Black Beard though, just a feeling, nothing to really substantiate it.

There will be certainly a lot of confrontation in the New World, but I think it would mostly likely involved the World Government and Big Mom for now. Sakazuki wants Luffy dead which was shown during the war with White Beard, remember he said he doesn't care if every other Pirate escapes as long as he kills Luffy and Ace. If that still holds true, now that he is Fleet Admiral and with his sense of Justice, I don't see anything really stopping him from pursuing his statement. The only thing he really has to fear is Shanks and Dragon. Luffy declared war on Big Mom, so that is going to happen As far as the revolutionary army is concerned I don't really see a clash there, since he is Dragon's son and everyone knows it now and if they are anything like Kuma and Emperio Ivankoff don't really see much of a clash there. Unless he interferes with them or someone in the organization has different ideals than Dragon, remember Robin spent two years with them.
It certainly holds a lot of possibilities for awesomeness, I hope it is all presented in a manner befitting One Piece.
