Hadena - Episode 01
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
I like what I've seen so far. Less deep and serious than Basilisk, trendier and less bishounen-focused than Hakuouki. Can't compare it to Sengoku Basara since I have yet to see it..

How many eps will this be? Really liked the first ep.
Based on this first episode I'd say this is less epic than Sengoku Basara. Kind of closer to individual characters, less focused on the grand shit hitting the fan.
I quite liked this episode. I'll keep watching.
Edit: I kept hearing Misaka Mikoto every time Isanami opened her mouth. I guess it can't be helped.

I liked it but echoing Kraco it felt like a less epic Sengoku Basara. Hopefully the character interactions will do enough to carry the day. The girl was a bit annoying but that's to be expected with her archetype, however I did like the touch that they made her skin dirty and scarred, ostensibly from the frantic escape through the forest but possibly b/c she was being abused or some such at the shrine.

And I'd say there's no value added to the discussion by you stating the obvious and reminding everyone how jaded you are. Clearly this show is unlikely to push against any well established boxes, but there's no need for you to remind us all of that, even if we're not all as jaded as you most of the people who browse these forums are experienced enough anime watchers to expect little surprise from shows with generic premises and generic first episodes. What are you trying to accomplish by dismissing my assertion that the show might do something slightly out of the ordinary?

Cool show is cool.
Feels cliche though, so here's hoping for a couple of twists along the way to make things interesting.
The thing I fear most is Isanami getting kidnapped and the uber traditional rescue the princess plot appearing. It looks exceedingly inevitable to happen, as well, since it was the whole point of this episode and the preview suggests the same will continue in the next one. But with the whole show beginning with Isanami fleeing from wannabe captors, I guess there's not much choice.
At least the fight have been pretty good.
I wish Isanami will develop into a Kaname Chidori type. You know, hunted princess that kicks ass as much as she possibly can rather than being Princess Peach
HorribleSubs - Episode 03

If someone didn't think of "what will his face look like if I raped and killed you before his eyes", they can't be that bad. Or maybe he really is a woman.
Apparently it's a Kunoichi's job to be slutty.

To be fair, it's takes one second to kill someone, but raping someone in front of your enemy requires the enemy to be restrained or otherwise unable to do anything. Besides, interestingly enough the thief did nothing resembling his threat. Isanami was merely roped in the best bondage tradition, and that's it. He didn't make a move to slay her in front of Saizou. Perhaps he was planning to disable Saizou and then do it. Who knows. Maybe he was all talk.
Yeah, that was pretty funny. But on the other hand, realistically speaking, lots of Kunoichi work would be to seduce men and get info out of them or otherwise betray them. So, why not.
What? You'll just kill the hostage without binding an utterly dominating your opponent first? Not going to pin them down so you can laugh in their sorrowful face when they see the girl die?Originally Posted by Kraco

It was only a matter of time. But at least she was kidnapped by Date Masamune and not a lesser man.
The fight in the underground cavern was pretty funny with everybody seemingly having forgotten the more peculiar ninja skills they had in previous fights.
