In that case, if u divide 1 huge evil into 9 smaller ones shouldn't that mean that the tailed beasts are, in fact, still evil?

Does what happened with the nine-tails and the eight-tails mean that all the tail beasts might eventually turn good and after combining into the ten-tails it will become the protector of the world instead of the destroyer?
