Lucy's spirits really aren't too strong. I suppose they could make a difference if she could summon multiple at once.
Her fanservice is strong, though.
Which is pretty weird since she' got like half of the Zodiacs. Yet Meh's human warriors seemed like a better shot than Sagittarius. One would expect the Zodiacs to be the best of the best. That is, unless you can summon gods.Originally Posted by Kraco

She's got a hell of a lot more than half.
She has 10 of the 12. She's only missing Libra and Pisces(and possibly Ophiuchus if they want to use the 13th Zodiac sign, which they often do in Japan).
It's a really small world of magic if she holds 10 of the 12 (or 13) strongest summonable spirits. Makes me want to think they aren't the strongest things an accomplished celestial wizard can summon. It would be ridiculous. Just as ridiculous that she (and her late mom) would be the only celestial mages who aren't/weren't complete scumbags and thus all the spirits would like to work for her. Perhaps Mashima himself realises this before long and introduces a non-celestial summoner. Like some demon summoner.
I don't think this series was planned out with the same longevity as, say, a One Piece. Lucy's only got 2 spirits left, after this arc only going to be one of the 3 baddest Dark Guilds left, they're already doing stuff involving Zeref, the worst wizard in history.
Wouldn't be surprised if this series wrapped up in a few more arcs.
