Caribou was pretty anti-climatic.

Caribou sucking is redeemed by the fact that he's hilarious.
Honestly, the Kraken went about like how I expected it to. Luffy has pretty much done nothing using Conqerer's Haki on ferocious animals for the last two years. The kraken may be big and strong, but it's still just an animal.
So there`s something i don`t quite get, the part where they were running away from the volcano, why didn`t the kraken just like... swim up?

Kraken could have just swum like octopuses normally do: with the jet and tectacles. It would have been considerably faster. I reckon DE is correct: It was running because it was told to run. Luffy would be too stupid to realise crawling is the slowest form of movement for an octopus.
The Kraken started running before anyone even said anything, and he seemed to have been too preoccupied running to even listen to them when they did call out to him.
