YEAAAAH it's finally over. Ugh now the strawhats can get on to do something interesting. Although more that I think about it this arc is kind of like the arabasta arc. Straw hats deal with internal political strife within a country and help heal/ save it from large scale disaster. Each straw hat member gets to prove themselves.

Although there's one major difference between that classic arc and this one. I mean the underlings for both were suitably shitty (except for das bones) but the main key difference is the key villain. Crocodile was fantastic while hody jones sucks. Crocodile was a shibukai had a fruit power to justify his power could kick ass but didn't. For most of the arc he was behind the scenes manipulating things always two steps ahead of the competition always providing some new challenge for the straw hats.

Best part of it all was that his grand plan everything he'd achieved was just one step in far larger plan of acquiring the legendary forgotten weapons so he could take on the world government single handedly. Which was awesome and the man had the balls to go about coming up with his ultimate goal of taking the world stage and becoming pirate king via very cunning means.

Hody just wanted to rule fishman island and then go kill human leaders in the reverie which by any means is retarded. I kind of wish I could see an alternate time line where he succeded only for him and all his minions to be slaughtered by one of the admirals and one or two pafistas. Hody's plan was horrible. His fighting prowess was miserable even jimbei called his fishman karate underdeveloped. He was nothing compared to crocodile in both ambition and ability. Good riddance to him. Maybe big mamma will come and make this arc interesting. I mean it's better then bleach but after white beard war and other heights that oda has achieved this just seems kinda mediocre. Well at least it's over.
