If he grows even more resolve and brains (without Yahiro around, but who knows), I won't mind him getting his powers back. I'll increase his flexibility to exercise some badassery.

Haruka could always just give Shu his power back. He got it from a vile anyway - and last time I heard there were a few of them (the number six comes to mind).

They really need to give Ayase a new Endlave. She didn't get to use her new legs too much. This series feels like it is written by three people at different times. The normal guy (who is mediocre) does most of the episodes, a 14-year old nephew (who writes the really shitty contradictory episodes because it would LOOK SO SUPERCOOL!), and a third guy who should have been writing all along, because he has to fix what the second one screws up so that the series can make any sense at all (maybe 3 episodes).
So who wrote this one? xD

that was the only good thing about this episode. That and Daryl saving the Undertakers.
superhuman grandfather, Inori berserk-mode - just WTF?

Shu will get his King Powah from the blonde guy whom he met when he used new king mode.

Inori turning into a badly designed freak made me dislike this show. I used to actually like it despite the glaring plot holes and lack of proper foreshadowing.

What? He simply was not an enormous wuss like everyone else in this series. He was no different from the average samurai anime character. I saw no behavior that would make me think he was more than human, like everyone else in this show is. A lot of people don't do so well in combat when they get a katana thrown at them. Nor when they get charged at and slashed. Guns don't do you very well if you panic, and they do even worse at close range. He had the advantage pretty much from the moment he got out of the car. Being soft toward his cowardly whore of a granddaughter was his only weakness. At least he gave her some wise parting words to ponder over. Gai will just throw her away like trash. She's a stupid, lovestruck girl who has let her hormones and pride override her intelligence.

Arisa the Whore is commendable for her actions in that scene at least. Sure she cowered in fear from her grandfather's slash, but at least she discharged her weapon properly while doing so.

By the way, have we ever seen that samurai/bodyguard woman that was with him earlier before? When they were talking about the Illuminati or the Da'at or whatever.

what are you talking about? this actually made me like her more -.- she can handle the endslaves now and doesn't just have to lie there while Shu just uses her void -.-

She should do it more often -.- but i foresee in doing so Shu's sister might also start coming out more often...her "berserk" mode will have something to do with something later on, i'm sure of it ._.

We're not so much opposed to Inori having an identity crisis or being able to handle herself against Endlaves as being upset that she looks like a crystalised (and uglier) version of Kerrigan from Starcraft.

Psychotic Mana with 500m impaling spikes coming out from her sleeves somewhere would have been fine. The only problem with that is that it wouldn't have had the same effect this had. A Mana-takeover would be selling yourself to the devil (and letting them do the job while you sleep), whereas this has Inori becoming the devil and all the awareness that comes with it.

Whether or not this latter effect is appropriate is another matter though. It come out of nowhere, as someone might have said previously.

Like Buff said, it was badly designed. It was way too half assed. If they wanted to make her look like a monster, they should of gone over the top. If they wanted her to keep looking like Inori, they should not have messsed with her trademark hairstyle.

And so the love-hate relationship with this show continues..

The writers couldn't figure out what to do with the third wheel (eyebrows) now that Gai's back, so they just decided to have him killed? How does that work? Well, it's Neo-Gai... and he does shit like that..

Minor blight on this episode though. Haruka and her suit (with Ayase as a side dish) made up for a lot of it, but in the end it had more to do with Shu. If he "takes on their weight", does that mean he can keep a copy of the void for his personal use?

That's pretty cool, with all the side-effects that come with it.

I got the impression that he wasn't really after anything. He was just batshit crazy.

Segai was a wasted resource. He was a far better villain that anything else this series has attempted to put forth. Clever, skilled, impermeable motives, and he even had a charm about him. He was a likable villain, the best kind of antagonist. So of course they squandered the only really standout character they wrote.

Wtf is with GC's obsession with marriage and Inori? It wouldn't seem nearly as creepy if they just raped her. They're just going to go that anyway after this whole forced-marriage farce. It's like the stuff you see evil villains doing in old North American cartoons. Apparently Koudou and now Gai are channeling Ming the Merciless. When they fail to wed Inori again, are they going to tie her to the train tracks like Snidley Whiplash?

Nothing. Like eyebrows, he's another character that they created but didn't seem to know what they should do with him..

And no. NO ONE rapes Inori.

That doesn't count. If imagination counted, no one would be fit for marriage.

But since she is a fictional character, wouldn't any form of rape be imagined?
