1) Shu finally started to think - there is no way that only goodwill will let them survive this.
2) why he didn't use the shield void to protect the school from both walls and endlaves?
3) Hare scenes were really well done in this ep
And about voids and their potency - i think it is rational - and my theory about it:
The genomic resonance(GR) device that we saw measures individual strength, not void strength inside people. Imagine Shu's power level to be sky high, and that influences the void strength, but while it is used by someone else it uses their's GR level.
Because void has to be hold by either Shu, or the owner of it we can't see, for example, someone else using Hare's void. Maybe it would be way weaker if used by someone with lower level of GR then?

That's an interesting theory on what's happened so far.. and I would say it holds true for what we've seen thus far. It would also explain how Ayase's void being used by her seems pretty near its maximum potential.
I was daydreaming today when the name Guilty Crown suddenly appeared to have more meaning now.

I noticed y'all are starting to rationalize this crap show. I was liking it until these recent turn of event happen( ever since wedding mana thing happened.)
And Ichiro Okouchi wrote Code Geass not Hiroyuki Yoshino ( he just wrote screenplay) he also was part of the train wreck Seed Destiny
Shuu sucks plain and simple. Ayase and Tsumugi are only characters worth a damn.
The writer is so unimaginnative he had to lift story from a better show and tweak it enough for it to fly.
Hare death was stupid. If they wanted her dead I could think of awhole lot of better ways than what they did.
I Hate it when things happen from being total dumbass all the time. Bad stuff happens because everyone lost there abilty to think at all. Why would you try to fix a car in a middle of the street where you are being bombed, and said fixing causes light that attracts attention. Why didn't they just hide out.

I dunno, because they are stupid? People do stupid stuff all the time. It is even more unrealistic to expect them to do the logical thing every time.
Peace.
When shit goes down, there's a thing called "fight or flight" response. Hiding is in there too somewhere... if you've got good enough instincts. It's not too farfetched to think "we have to get out of here!" and then do the next logical step for a fast transport in that situation. I wouldn't know what I would have done.
Just want to add Inori to the list of "worth a damn" people you mentioned.
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
you like to rant alot, huh?
are you even able to watch a movie or play a game without hating yourself after doing so?
you overexaggerate a lot.
is there a single movie/series/game out there which isn't full of illogical/cliché scenes? I don't think so, especially not in the shounen genre. (it would be even more illogical if those KIDS were doing the right/logical thing all the time...)
sometimes, especially lately, I can't tell whether I am reading stuff on /v/ or on gotwoot..
everything is bad, everything sucks, yet everyone watches and plays the stuff they are hating.
so annoying or more like hypocritical...
Shuu's reaction was totally fine by me, I can see myself doing the same stuff.
ever played Bioware games like DA or ME? Being Paragon is pretty much being Shuu, always try to satisfy the one infront of you.. but it turns into shit if you have to please 2 sides which are fighting/playing against each other.
thats pretty much what happened here.
bein able to hide from ~6-8 choppers and futuristic-war machines on the ground would probably the most unrealistic and "illogical" thing ever. Why would you try to fix a car in a middle of the street where you are being bombed, and said fixing causes light that attracts attention. Why didn't they just hide out.
but how do they say, everyone's a critic right?
edit: here I am "defending" a show which I don't even "like" (or understand, lol) myself....

Damn it, WHY? I thought this episode was good, but the last five seconds ruined it.
Uhh..... I think the show just went backwards again.....
So now both Gai and Mana are going to be revived to:
a) Tear apart Shu's kingdom
b) Pussify Shu.
Can't they just do that with the eyebrows-fellow since he's pretty much the final boss now along with the old guy running Japan? Inori going crazy makes things interesting... though it helps that I fully expect her to become "benign" again before the show ends, since she's otherwise heading too far to being like another certain pink-haired girl this season.
They finally answered the question I've had too.. "why is there conveniently a void scouter in the jeep from the previous attack?"
Yahiro's very much like a character I imagine I would become if I was ever in that situation (given that I had the same resources and connections/influence). The 2nd in command who isn't exactly charismatic but runs things from behind the scenes. First I'll have to get over a pussy-shu phase of trying to please everybody though.

All I can say about this episode is:
"Ugh."
I second that.
"Ugh... Ugh."
Peace.
Well, that whole episode was retarded.
Arisa turning into a backstabbing, actual whore. Quelle fucking surprise. I still don't know what the hell the students are thinking. It's not like they're ever going to be able to use voids if they rid themselves of Shuu. They're back to being useless. Oh...well some have guns. That'll work against mechs.
I couldn't help at laughing at the line from Shuu about his King Power being taken away with his arm. (a) Like he knew that it was focused in his arm. (b) It's such a ridiculous line in the first place, since the only other person who has ever called it that is Evil Eyebrows-kun. Shuu has never called it that. Inori has never called it that. Gai has never called it that (before just now). (c) It felt like a bad translation...only it was accurate.
They blow up stuff at the top of Tokyo Tower...yet it falls over?
I'm glad I only watch this show only when I'm drinking. Then I can at least marginally pretend I enjoy it.
you really expect that the masses always use logic first? I don't. Arisa turning into backstabbing, actual whore was kinda retarded when you take her character into account.
Shu should have his most trusted people at his side - his friends, not the SS - he could create some kind of oligarchy/totalitarian system in which each rank has their representative(therefore he could take his F-rank friend in there) to which the masses could openly say their complaints, also add some kind of immunity to badmouthing the Supreme Leader-kun so they could state the truth - but Ouma should retain the ability to make final decisions.
Shu has made only one inteligent decision in this ep - he asked that SS guy what people thing about them - perfect check to see if someone is just buttkissing you or stating his real thoughts.
Stuff was blown up at the top, but I just assumed that the whole pillar inside it exploded.
King's Power... seriously- he always used the phrase 'power of the void/void power'..
Also - propaganda, use it.

It's really not. She had wealth. But now, not a whole lot else aside from her body. She's afraid, but for whatever reason, wants the authority she once had back. She's going to seduce Shuu's SS members to coerce them to her side, while still pretending she's "pure" for Gai. That phone call is what changed her from sniveling coward to illogical power hungry Gai sycophant again. Bad writing for sure, but the whoring was the most sensible part of the whole thing. She doesn't have the leadership skills to persuade without using an incentive.
I guess I really only wonder if Ayase and Tsugumi are going to stick by armless Shuu's side, or go back to Gai like the rest of the morons.
Yes, yes i do. This wasn't made in the heat of the moment, they actually met and planned beforehand to double cross the one guy who could save them from a counterstrike even before they were in the fucking safe zone. Fucking retarded doesn't even begin to describe this course of action.
So retarded in fact that it made me forget how stupid their battle strategy was... i guess they were trying to build a wall of corpses to shield Shu? Why would he even need any kind of protection? Mofo can cut shit at a distance and has hax shields + mobility, he's been virtually invincible every time he used Inori's blade thus far!
Some issues I have
1) I have a hard time believing that the rumor/truth that spread amongst the students would cause everyone to go against him without trying to seek some answers not to mention I would have expected that one girl from the previous episode that idolizes Shu to probably defend him. I guess that's stupid of me for thinking that more characters could possibly be introduced. 2)Does everyone have a staff-like void that does absolutely nothing because once they got to Tokyo Tower I noticed this and can't help believing that maybe we are too lazy to come up with different void powers. Also Arisa has that shield void...doesn't use it at all to protect anyone or do anything. 3) What's the point of betraying Shu once you're in the clear? If he accomplished in doing that shouldn't some people question siding with Arisa who has accomplished nothing but whoring out her body for the allegiance of students. This I find stupid on so many levels.
