It feels to be that they are bridging the gap between filler and cannon with this ep. I dug it.
When man invented the bicycle he reached the peak of his attainments. Here was a machine of precision and balance for the convenience of man. And (unlike subsequent inventions for man's convenience) the more he used it, the fitter his body became. Here, for once, was a product of man's brain that was entirely beneficial to those who used it, and of no harm or irritation to others. Progress should have stopped when man invented the bicycle. ~Elizabeth West, Hovel in theHills
I doubt this was filler, but if it was, it was the best damn filler I've seen! There was only 1 short reference to the fillers. And that was just a remark that didn't make much sense..
*checks the manga*
Nope, this was pretty much all filler. The only part that was in the manga is the very end where he's talking to Rukia as she disappears.
I mean, literally, him waking up in bed at home is like the first time he wakes up after fighting Aizen. It's all, "Your powers are gone, bye rukia, the end."
Frankly, the anime is a far, far more satisfying conclusion.
the series definitely should have ended right here
the stuff coming up from the manga is nonsense
i actually enjoyed the filler and now im dreading them going back to the manga. funny stuff
>enjoying a series which should have ended 200 episodes ago.
