    AAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I'M SO FUCKING PSYCHED!!!

That was a great ending! We Are playing again! And "To Be Continued" replaced with "Go to the New World"!

We're finally at the halfway point baby!!

Also, finally having Haki fully explained is good too. Especially Armaments.

They should've made a new series from this point onwards like toei did with dragon ball z. As we know, OP isn't that popular in north america, just like db wasn't popular before DBZ. OP could've attracted new viewers if the ones who never gave it a shot didn't feel like they have to watch more than 600 episodes to catch-up... and that could only happen separating the anime in two parts.

Of course the japanese doesn't give a shit about the americans. They are only thinking about themselves. So I understand that they want to keep OP as it is since it has been a huge success in japan.

I've long ago given up on One Piece being popular here in NA.

After going through it with so many people it just boils down to this:

The art is waaaaaaay to retarded for the type of people who like DBZ/Naruto/Bleach to ever get into the show in the first place. And they aren't wrong. One Piece characters look like ass. They always have. It's just the sad truth.

Anyone I can get to stick with the series to the end of the Arlong Park arc ALWAYS ends up hooked and stays with it through the long haul, but getting people to watch that much of it is a real challenge.

Everybody always says the art is bad... I used to be the same. Now I love the art and find the one in Naruto and similar series ugly. Heh.

Anyway... any decent fansub to watch since Yibis is way too slow? I don't want to see horriblesubs 360p version because it looks like crap on my tv. Like eye-cancer.

Well, Naruto's art is also not particularly GOOD, but it's much less silly than One Piece's.

For people who are already into the show, you're used to it, it's not a problem for you.

But when you're trying to get people to watch, and your telling them about this awesome villain who controls shadows and rips people's shadows out of them and puts them in dead bodies to create a zombie army, they're all like "That sounds awesome!"

    Then they see:

    And they're all "I'm out..."

I'm one of those. It was by the time I started watching anime, I was watching Naruto (Chunin exams) and Bleach (ep 1) and watched a ton of the 1 season animes. I wasn't in the mood to get in on OP, partly I didnt know much about it and people here didnt talk about it much. Well I did manage in a few weeks to read all the chapters and I did go through and watch the Whitebeard War and everything since.

They really could have giving it a rename like Shippuden did to at least try and attract more people.

    Also which translation is better?

On the up side, at least we don't get characters like this anymore:

On the down side, we get more characters like this:

It's not that One Piece's art is bad it's just that it looks silly and more jokey which is why it doesn't have nearly as rabid a fan base in North America as Bleach or Naruto as well because most fan boys associate silly with kiddie stuff. Which in all honesty it is, but so are Naruto and Bleach which honestly aren't any more edgy or dark then one piece. There all the same thing at their cores, but One Piece is the king taking up the throne left by Toriyama. I wasn't really sold until I got
through the arabasta arc, but been a fan ever since.

Also I'm going to throw this out but the Whitebeard war is the most satisfying epic arc seen thus far in shonen manga/anime.

But yeah can't wait to see the new world get animated but worried about fillers though anime is dangerously close to
    the manga.

I was a bit surprised we didn't get more padding before the time skip, but of course it's awesome this way. Now I'm really looking forward to the next ep. I expect we might get back to the training years of each of the characters in the future, though, in form of flashbacks.

I've been watching Yonkou for a good long while now. I see no problems with them, and thus I'm archiving them as well. They usually get the ep out on monday, so it's not really a long wait.

I would argue that Naruto has a much higher mortality rate than One Piece does. I mean, it took half the series for Oda to kill off just two characters. Even with Pain resurrecting a bunch of people, people still die all the time in Naruto.

Whereas Bleach has a sky high villain mortality rate, but a good guy mortality rate of zero.

Agreed, I was fully expecting One Piece: New World ep 1. Honestly if it wasn't for repeated rep I've dropped OP during the Usopp encounter. Once I saw Dragon lurking around in Loguetown there was no turning back. Hehe

When "We are" played it really gave me the "End of Act 1" feeling.
Innocence is over, time for the real stuff to go down.

I'm pumped to hear 'We Go' starting next episode.

"We go!" written, composed by same team that created 1st theme song "We Are!"

The 41st issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Saturday that singer Hiroshi Kitadani will return to the One Piece television series to perform the anime's new theme song "We go!" The song will premiere with the October 2 episode, which is also the launch of the New World story arc.

Weekly Shonen Jump describes the new song as an "answer song" in response to "We Are!" — the first One Piece opening theme that Kitadani also sang. Shouko Fujibayashi and Kouhei Tanaka wrote and composed "We Are!" and the "golden team" will return in the same roles for "We go!"
