The best part of this ep was Gajeel suggesting Happy, Carle, and Lily fight each other to see who has the strongest cat, and Wendy consequently getting grouped together with those two human weapons. She has a pretty troublesome association when the other dragon slayers are relentless fighting machines like that...
Yet another useless magic council unsympathetic to Fairy Tail. When will they learn that's a solid way to their own downfall, nothing else?

I am pretty sure I remember someone at Edolas' Fairy Tail mentioning that their master died a while back.
Well, they did REBUILD it to be bigger. Unless you are saying that it is even larger than the rebuilt version, in which case I didn't notice.
Only the hideouts of evil sorcerers and such characters have elaborate castles out in the middle of nowhere. I have no idea how they elected these new council members neither. At least the old ones looked somewhat presentable and dignified. These guys look like warlords.
I really do think everyone in the magic world has a bone to pick with Fairy Tail just because they're the most (im)famous guild around.

I have to agree on this one. The manga had them talking on a normal table and chairs, so I don't understand the change.
I'll stop mentioning the manga now, but this scene was plain bad in the anime.
