    Top 3

So here's how it works, we post our top 3 on subjects that will be updated on a semi-weekly basis by myself with a short explanation on why. You may also add another 2 as honorable mentions.

I'm creating this thread in the general discussion section because i plan to pesent other topics besides anime to the table. Also, assuming you can't think of 3 choices i'll allow a minimum of 2 but do try not to make a habit of it.

The first topic, as to ensure interest by our forum's colorful members, shall be flat chested ( pettanko ) characters

1: Wendy Marvell - She's just incredibly adorable

2: Haqua du Lot Herminium - Tsundere done right

3: Kuchiki Rukia - Most will probably have already forgotten but the original Rukia ( pre-kuboing ) was quite an interesting character

This topic is right down my alley, which I think means I am colorful. I'm guessing this includes lolis since Wendy is there.

    1) Holo - She is just an awesome and witty character who happens to be a pettanko, which only adds to her charm. Proud but sweet, capable yet dependent, the complexity of her character betrays the stark nakedness she usually displays.
    2) Furude Rika - The difference between her cute loli appearance and her actual strong and pragmatic personality is pure gap moe. The neck stabbing scene is one of the best scenes in anime IMPO.
    3) Konata - Konata is a unique character that successfully combines comedy, cuteness, and a solid personality. She is a head above all other moe characters in that her characterization feels natural due to her background development, even if the character itself is pretty much an abnormal otaku.

    Runner up:
Nagi - She dropped places because the anime and manga never continued. Her pettanko + waki combination is dangerous.

    1) Chihiro - hurt girl(bonus for white knights) with interesting personality.
    2) Victorique - intelligent, cute, bookworm with green eyes - should i say more? if she also had glasses...
    3) Subaru - you just have to watch .hack//sign to see her greatness, because it lies in her personality and her character development through whole series.

    close to 3rd place:
Akane Mishima from Kampfer - one again thanks to her personality, the un-transformed one.(assuming she is flat enough to fit here)

At least make a special focus on girls who actually are pettanko (as in they make a huge deal out of being flat) if you're going to ask for that, rather than girls who simply are flat.

    1) Lina Inverse (Slayers) - Envious of most (if not all) of the other female cast members, delivering violent retribution for those who mention it. The first pettanko I ever knew, before I even knew what that word meant. Supported by a certain cast member who makes a particular effort to fire her up about it.

    2) Mahoro (Mahoromatic) - An android who actually attempts to requisition bigger breasts or somehow make them grow. Her obsession is but a small but important facet to the cornerstone of her character ("Ecchi na no wa ikenai to omoimasu").

    3) Mayumi Thyme (Shuffle) - The pettanko that made me actually learn the term. Unlike so many others who find it to be a sore spot, Mayumi takes great pride her in flat chest (while still mentioning it quite often), rationalizing that it puts her in a niche that will be sought by certain men. This makes her a rare and special breed of pettanko.

Runner up - The amusingly named Nymph (Sora no Otoshimono)

I'm just going to post lolis flat-chested ones.

    1) Fate Testarossa - Twin tails. Mini skirt. Zettai Ryouki. Stockings. Mizuki Nana. <3 at first sight.

    2) Shirai Kuroko - Her voice, antics and obsession make for great comedy. Kick-ass superpowers which aren't used to their full effectiveness to boot when she needs to be serious.

    3) Shakugan no Shana - Sure, everyone hates the Shana clones, but I loved the original Shana. Fills the role of being cool, cute and the annoying non-understanding partner throughout the show.

edit: Runner up - Soma Peries

Also, following the precedence laid by the Last Season's Top 3 thread, off-topic posts will be trimmed.

    Top songs

1: Puddle of Mudd - Blurry

    Dat beat

2: Adam Lambert - No Boundaries

This is the song that officially made me gay for Adam Lambert's voice

3: Black Tide - Warriors of Time

I can't exactly explain why i like this one so much... i think it helps that i once got laid with this on loop

    1. Hacking to the Gate - Itou Kanoko (Steins;Gate OP)

I enjoy this song because it is upbeat and gives you a determining resolve feeling from its lyrics.

    2. Ceramic Girl - Perfume

I enjoy the genre of electropop a lot now these days ever since I got my headphones. It's another alternative to all the other electronica these days and I just feel that this song expresses a lot of women strength in a modern world where they are able to enjoy love and whatnot in their relationships.

    3. Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya! - Vocaloid (original uploaded by daniwellP)

I liked this song before everyone made a big deal out of the Nyan Cat.

    Honourable mention:

Tunak Tunak Tun/What's Up People? Remix - Daler Mehndi/Maximum The Hormone (uploaded by RestaMW)

I enjoy how abstract the remix is. The contrast of Indian lyrics expressing how captivated he is by a beautiful woman with the heavy metal music in the background shows how much pain he is of living a despairing unrequited love. It means a lot to me.

    1) Zutto kimi no soba de - Masuda Yuki
    - I love the singer's voice paired with the music. The drum parts are also awesome. This is also my favorite anime song growing up, so that factors in making it number 1.

    2) Kimi no shiranai monogatari - Supercell
    - 1 and 3 both have really good ED animation. It is rare for me to be affected by visuals when picking music, but those two were good or relevant enough to me that it added a lot to the song. Still, having 2/3 be animation affected is still something. I don't even remember the ED animation sequence for this song, but it is still number 2. That's just how great it is.

    3) Unity - Lisa Komine
    - This is in because of sheer emotional impact. I can't believe how many times I've cried while listening to this, especially right after watching the better episodes of GOSICK. The ED animation also fit the lyrics so well, it felt almost lacking without it.

EDIT: Added in the comments. Sorry for forgetting.

Top 3 songs? damn it would be hard to choose only 3.

    1) Black Sabbath - Iron Man

This song introduced me to metal at age of 7 or so. Plus it is godlike.

    2) It was hard to choose song for the second place - it was tie between Raining Blood by Slayer and this one by Metallica, so i'll leave them both - they deserve that.

Both of them sound way more awesome live, especially the Slayer.

    3) Another tie for 3rd place - this time Burzum and Dimmu Borgir, i just can't bring myself to choose one of them.

That is the original quality of recording - everything was done by one man.

That vid is censored because it offended some Christians.

    Special Place:
the only song that is mostly electronic that i like:

Also i've skipped few classical/orchestral songs.

    Top anime/manga yelled out attacks

    1: Dragon Ball - Kamehameha

Can there be any other choice for number one? Video represents the most awesome version of it

2: One Piece - Gomu gomu no jet gattling

One of my favorite moments in the anime, followed closely by gomu gomu no storm ( movie version since i can't find the original, though i enjoyed both )

    3: Katanagatari - Cheerio

    Cried manly tears

    1) Unlimited Bladeworks - it is whole incantation through. i'm kinda suprised that it is not on Ark's list.

2)Indignation - from Tales of the Abyss, it was only shown once in anime as i recall, but it is badass.

    3) I'll leave the obvious mahou shoujo for Buff, and put here any 'special' attack done in Star Driver.

    1) Gundam G - Shining Finger!!! - How can you be more awesome if you can say this and still look gar?
    2) Voltes V - Ultra Magnetic Tops!!! - It's just... weird.
    3) Puella Magi Madoka Magica - Tiro Finale! - I just like the sound of it, and the attack itself looks cool.

Gurren Lagann - Infinity Big Bang Storm (the biggest attack in all of anime?)

    1. Geese Howard - Raging Storm - Just an awesome attack. I loved Billy's reaction to seeing it.

    2. Vegeta - Final Flash - Simply classic...

    3. Inuyasha - Bakuryuha - My favorite Inuyasha attack from the original series. Here's one with Kagome from Movie 4.

As much as I like Fate and as cool as her new Phalanx -> Spark End attack looks, Nanoha's Starlight Breaker Movie ver takes the crown.

    1. There's a whole heap of vids that I can't find due to copyrights, so I'll have to just settle with this. Know that it's most likely another Nanoha one. :P

edit: actually, I'll settle with UBW being here.

edit2: A reminder to our posters too that this thread is semi-structured, so do try to keep your answers accurate (ie they are accurate in themselves and also answer the topic).

    1. "This hand of mine is burning red! It's loud roar tells me to grasp victory! ERUPTING. BURNING. FINGER! ...and now....HEATEND! - G Gundam. I should not have to elaborate why this is on the list, much less number 1.

    2. Super Inazuma Kick - Gunbuster. An extremely devastating attack from one of the most badass robots to ever exist, because it is powered by two sexually frustrated girls.

    3. Starlight Breaker - Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha. Any of the versions. A finisher of supreme badassery. The reason why the most terrifying words are, "I want to be your friend."

    Top TV shows

1: How i met your mother

    It's today's Seinfeld

    2: House M.D.

It's impressive how i'm yet to be bored by the show's formula even after so long

    3: Family Guy

It's crude and Seth McFarland is an annoying egocentric fuck but i still enjoy watching it

Top 3 jobs you want do if demand, livelihood and personal ability weren't issues

    1. Archaeologist: Indiana Jones and treasure hunting ftw! Ancient culture exploration was my childhood dream if I had such a thing. I wonder when it was that I lost it..

    2. Sports Star: The rivalry, the tension and to some extent the attention sounds pretty good.

Secret Agent: This one's a bit shaky. It's dangerous and unpredictable with plenty of bureaucracy to deal with. It must feel good to know that you're good enough to do almost anything and everything though.
