Rin is the oblivious kind, he'll be hitting on everyone without realizing it soon enough
Nobody was hitting on anybody in this ep. The kid simply liked Izumo's looks because she reminded him of his poor, sick dog.
This episode was waste of bandwidth. It barely scraped the fanservice potential and the rest was annoying and nonconsequential. I hope the preview suggested the next ep will have some meaningful action.
gg - Episode 12
--------------------------------------
I've been looking forward to this. Too many times has Rin relied on his inherited demon abilities (be it one-hit-kill or the ability to understand other demons) and just pretty much impressed everyone with it. Take away his sword, get someone who can match his physical abilities and he's sitting duck (saved by his pretty-much-immortal body). It's not that I dislike Rin, but he needs to wake up now and take his promise seriously to become an Exorcist.
I can't really blame him for being shit with a sword despite going for Knight class (since it was pretty much "Oh, btw, you're a demon - and here's your sword. Use it well"), but he needs to learn, and so far we haven't seen a single teacher who could teach him kenjutsu. Admittadly we have only seen teachers of about 3 or 4 disciplines yet (Arias, Tamers, Dragoons, Doctors), so it may well be my inpatience kicking in.
Still, unless this is planning to be a longer running series (36+ eps) they should really start building him up now.
Izumo's cool and all but........RIN LIKES BOOBS!! He didn't bat an eyelash at her in that bathroom.. compared to these two she's history.

If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
And here I thought Shiemi would finally notice about Rin being a demon. Oh well. Great episode. Tons better than the boring fest of last week.
Shiemi looked good in the normal uniform. I think that was the main point of this ep. The secondary point was what Bill mentioned: Rin got the much needed power level check. Although I'm not that sure I like the lithium antagonist that performed the check. But then again, maybe that detached, nonchalant attitude was one more thing to vex Rin.
I don't think the shrink-wrap uniform looked that good on Shiemi actually. Maybe if she was just wearing underwear or nothing at all.. but the uniform looked so uncomfortably tight that I was uncomfortable.
Or perhaps I prefer something a little more... streamlined.

Fap fap fapidy fap
That Vatican swordswoman escaped from Index to this series.
That pick also highlighted how much slimmer Izumo is overall (particularly the thighs).

Shiemi is no doubt in want of some exercise considering her legs were disabled for a good long while.
Izumo wins.
Peace.
Hot ginga bishoujo wins, dem lips!

Rin lost his sword for the time being, which is a good thing, as long as no truly dangerous enemies appear before him. Defeating opponents was far too easy with the blade, hampering any developement of real skills. Although he still needs combat training from a more... appropriate source. Nothing wrong about cats, but their fighting style might be a bit unsuitable for a swordsman.
I wouldn't say is't inappropriate. The girl would be the one to teach Rin about proper tactics and sword skills to fight against human-like opponents, but the Kuro would be a great start just for Rin to fight someone who isn't phased by his strength and is able to physically brawl with him to develop his "fighting sense" to so speak.
It seems like ever since thatheartrib-breaking moment back when Rin was little, he's been trying his best to not get in a fight. No wonder he sucks with a sword, now that you think back.
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
Yeah, I mainly meant he won't learn how to be a swordsman by fighting a cat. If the Vatican bikini woman teaches him real sword fighting, then it's a different thing. And no doubt she will. It would also be good if there was somebody to teach him how to use his demon powers.
Enjoyed this episode a lot, seems like they're gonna be focusing on the actual storyline now, and making Rin more skilled

A jolly good episode. It didn't try to be anything special and thus was very simple, at least so far, but it worked nicely. The simplicity naturally seems to be ending with always so cheery Mephisto and Amaimon messing with the otherwise basic training.
I wonder if there's a triangle building also in practice, not only in Rin's head anymore. Yukio didn't seem pleased when he noted Shiemi is paying lots of attention to Rin.
Well he had this hot piece of ass crushing on him and now she's moving on... that's gotta suck. Rin should go for the Red though, dem lips are delicious.
The new OP and ED are growing on me, looking forward to the singles.
