Edit 2: Rigo Cortes and Ed Boon confirmed today that the first DLC, Skarlet, will be playable at E3 2011, and on Monday we can admire her in a new GamePlay trailer.

"In case you haven't heard. The first DLC character (Skarlet) is going to be playable at the Warner Booth at E3 !! Also on Monday we are releasing a Gameplay trailer for the 1st DLC character (Skarlet). She's got some wicked moves!"

I do wonder though... why do the females get their hair in a bun? I don't remember them having it on MK2 or UMK3 (skipped the rest) [edit: on 2nd thought... I think this was hoy they appeared on UMK3 after all]. It would have been cool if they had left them with their current hairstyles and the klassic kostume.

Heck... Reptile looks way better this way.

Smoke appeared at the end... I wonder if they will include him as a bonus.

We still need Rain... I hope Scarlet isn't too expensive.

Ditto, I hope she isn't $7-8 like BlazBlue chars. When they first announced her, they made it seem like her and Kenshi would be together in a bundle. Now it sounds like they're doing individual downloads.

There's going to be a patch released for MK tomorrow along with the Klassic Pack DLC. Tom Brady has given us a list that he is aware of, that may or may not contain every "note" and here it is:

Patch:

1. Kung Lao's spin will have 6 more recovery frames on block
2. Kung Lao's hat loop removed
3. Kabal's block infinite removed
4. Sonya block infinite removed
5. Various bugs fixed
6. Wake up moves punishing certain characters after a ground breaker removed
7. Stryker X-ray punished on hit fixed
8. Advantage on Cyrax's command throw lessened
9. Cyrax's command throw break changed from 2 frame window to 10 frame window
11. Sindel able to scream after 2,1 now and able to juggle with b3~scream
12. Smoke's bomb OTG removed
13. Cyber Sub-Zero's bomb has a smaller buffer window
14. Jax's EX dash punch goes farther and has armor.
15. Jax has a ground pound fake
16. Quan Chi's sky drop advantage lessened
17. Quan Chi's reset after trance removed
18. Quan Chi's skeletal boost after trance trade removed
19. Quan Chi can now move after trance
20. Raiden no longer has advantage after b312 and 334 are blocked. He is now at -1


Tweaks coming a few hours after the patch:

1. Sonya cannot link military stance after d4
2. Sonya dive kick infinite removed
3. Kabal cannot link dash after d4
4. Kung Lao infinite removed
5. Kano up ball is now more disadvantaged on block
6. More various bugs fixed

No dive kick infinite? I wasn't aware she had an infintie, does this mean they will remove her being able to instant overhead with the divekick? I hope it doesn't, she really needs that mixup.

E3 2011: Ed Boon Interview (Stream)

• Skarlet: Character is created from blood and feeds on blood.
• Skarlet is coming soon. She is expected in the next couple of weeks, but no exact date.
• Kenshi is the next DLC character to release after Skarlet.
• An "extensive" plan to really support the game with DLC that will go all through the summer. New characters and new "surprises" incoming.
• At least 4 new DLC characters are currently in the pipeline (Skarlet, Kenshi and 2 more) and future DLC plans will depend on how Skarlet performs (how many times she is downloaded).

Yeah, it shows shadows for Rain and Kenshi at the end. There's a third shadow with ??? under it. People are saying that the third shadow will be Shinnok.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios are excited to announce the Mortal Kombat Season Pass which will offer Mortal Kombat fans an added incentive to buy all four new Add-on warriors at one time for a reduced price instead of when purchasing them individually. The first Mortal Kombat downloadable warrior, Skarlet, will be available for download starting June 21st and will be followed by Kenshi, Rain, and an unannounced new entrant to the Mortal Kombat tournament! Each warrior will come with a full move set, a ladder arcade story ending and two fatalities.

Available for purchase starting June 21st, the Mortal Kombat Season Pass will allow users to buy all four downloadable warriors as a package for 1200 Microsoft points. Each individual warrior can be purchased when they release for 400 Microsoft points. Each warrior will become unlocked for download as they become available throughout the summer.

Further, in order to allow for seamless online play with the new downloadable warriors, free compatibility packs will be required to download with the release of each new warrior. As an added incentive, each compatibility pack will come with two FREE klassic skins – the first of which are being released with Skarlet will be Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 inspired Cyrax and Sektor. Gamers who purchase the Mortal Kombat Season Pass (or individual Add-on content) will automatically get the free klassic skins when they download each warrior. Those who do not purchase the Mortal Kombat Season Pass or the Add-ons, will be able to download the compatibility packs for free and have access to the klassic skins as well.

Please note: The Mortal Kombat Season Pass is only available for purchase on Microsoft’s Xbox LIVE. PlayStation users will also have full access to the individual DLC warriors (for $4.99), the compatibility packs, and the FREE klassic skins.
