Well they went back to espionage but it's still not working. I think the writers/creators are bored or out of material, since they seem to be rehashing old tropes and lines and reusing characters and situations from earlier seasons (Conway, ruggedly handsome guy, and Barry returns next episode). The first couple of episodes this season were ok/good but the last 2 were pretty bad. The quick wit and clever banter are replaced with everyone complaining and Archer drinking alcohol and being a jerk.Originally Posted by Sapphire

Very interesting how the series keeps reinventing itself. Not always in a good way or a bad way, but they can keep up the entertainment while keeping some things fresh with success.
Anyways, have only watched 2 episodes this season. Need to catch-up.
