I wonder what happened with that other Emperor Shanks was supposedly fighting. Shanks doesn't look like he just came from a fight, so I'm guessing they didn't have another huge war. Knowing Shanks he offered him some really good Saki to let him past.
Also, I think Coby just learned Mantra.

Ehhhh not really. Anime plays out the same as it did in the manga with him just literally being there out of nowhere. I love though that he's such a badass that pointing a pistol (which at this point in the game with super elemental fruit powers and cyborg spitting lasers is probably the least intimidating thing you can do) gets Kizaru to stand down.
Guess he must be packing some super haki bullets or something.
Or... seastone bullets(even if they're probably pretty expensive, I guess pirates should be able to get their hands on some, even if they had to make them themselves by converting seastone cuffs into bullets or something)- I guess it's not, as the marines ships were coated with seastone in the amazon lily arc or something if I remember correctly, so it cannot be that rare. Epic Plot Hole? - Or both. If I was an infamous gunner in One Piece, I'd always have some Kryptonite with me, knowing that the most powerful are usually devil fruit users. Especially Logia fruits seem to literally convert people into demigods.

Doesn't seem too hard to imbue haki into projectiles. The amazons were able to do it with their arrows.

I'll just concede to filler and request more of it. The way the majority of canon episodes getting dragged out really stinks up One Piece.
My Pekingese just died an hr ago... barked nonstop, cardiac arrest, cough up saliva, and then eternal sleep... 16 yrs (human)... T_T
