My only gripe is.... if you're going to have a banner contest isn't the idea to vote on who MADE the best banner? Not who cropped a high quality image?

Actually, I'm not sure what your point is. All of your posts seem to be a misinterpretation/redefining of the rules (which no one else seemed to have trouble understanding).

If you don't like it, feel free to throw your own "quality" banner contest on here, where the only banners that win are the ones you agree with. I'm sure the mods wouldn't mind.

Ones that aren't just stock images you mean? Ones that aren't literally someone else's work with text over it?
Yeah I guess those are ones I agree with. Especially since youre offering a prize you think you'd have some kind of rule like: "you actually have to do something"
