Heh... loved the episode. Mael/Yuki was just introduced and she is already becoming one of my favorites in this show (alongside Haruna).
BTW... Im confused on who the 'main girl' is suppossed to be. I always thought Eu was the main heroine in this series... but Haruna is the cover girl on manga and novels.
It doesn't look like our good zombie is making moves on any of them. Yuu's the one that Akira likes (maybe..), but Haruna's the one that's got the hots for him.. A pretty even harem with no "main girl". I like that.

Just make sure you're on the right side of her students and you're set. She's pretty much a sword for hire where the hiring process is the the Magical Academy Enrolment.
Yuki's random inner magical entity was pretty damn random, but it's put up a good fight so all's good.

Oddly enough, this is probably my favorite anime this season along with Level E.
Couldn't Eucliwood have killed that other zombie, King of the Night, before all of this drama sprang up?
I guess in a deeper analytical sense, it kind of refers to a hot issue in today's medical-legal world whether patients should have a choice to die or not.
Hell, in my opinion, if someone wants to die and you can obviously tell that they're serious about it and that there doesn't exist enough hope in the future to save them, respect their wishes and let them die. More of the time and effort trying to save those wanting to die is much better spent on others who continue to live their lives (like Ayumu).

Yuu's voice was damn cute. Ayumu was right all along thinking she must have a really cute voice.
Also, just when I thought this series couldn't get any weirder, they bring out:

That was the whole point of this episode. Yuu, having the power to control death, cherishes life immensely. That's why she saves people in the first place, heals them by taking on the pain of their injuries, and makes herself suffer to prevent others from getting hurt in the first place. It was the absolute last thing she wanted to do, and the only thing that he wanted her to do.
I don't know if you can bring the whole living-will issue into it, because they're not really the same thing.

But weird all the same. I would actually like to see that ensemble in the whole swallow-tailed Meistro look, but Sera's rack would prolly never fit.

The new spin on "It's not a kick?!" got a bit of chuckle out of me. On the other hand, Yuu talking now confused me. I was under the assumption the entire time that she couldn't control the effects of her speech - not just that whatever she says may become the truth (to give an example, words she may mutter may be some some godly spell that does something in another language). If the issue was to watch what you say, rather than the above case, it makes it difficult but not entirely impossible.

The issue is that Yuu's magic is so incredibly powerful, every action she does can leech out magic. Her mere existence draws megalo to her, her death doesn't mean her magic stops, and so on.
It's just that her words are equally powerful. She rebuked Haruka earlier when she was telling Ayumu to die because as we saw later, when Yuu says such weighty words, they actually do that. Not speaking also helps her keep her emotions in check, which stabilizes her power (same as the armor does). Her getting emotionally upset is more of an issue than anything. That doll transformed and nearly crushed Haruka just because Yuu got upset about the thought of her friends being threatened.
It's not Yuu's words that have power, everything about Yuu has power. In this episode, Ayumu told her it didn't matter, that he didn't care she brings trouble (nor do Haruka and Sera care), they'd just deal with it as it comes. Yuu cares a great deal about others, and doesn't want to trouble them, so she goes through all these steps to dampen and control her power.
Ayumu being so accepting of her is what made Yuu happy enough, relieved, and comfortable enough to relax and speak.
So did anyone else notice that when Haruna came back the dust from her landing made a "phallic" shape? Whether it was intentional or not, I still found it quite humorous.
Question for the horriblesubs watchers. Was the Ayumu-in-parts scene at the start censored there? The version Underwater-commie released was censored... but RandomC has an uncensored screenshot of the same scene.
