I like the feel of that one. The only other thing I can suggest is see what increasing the transparency of the text (or changing its colour/size) yields. It may help make them less contrasting (with the background), less eye-catching (until we look for it) and maintain the focus on the render at first glance.

Al, I'm not sold on this update. The first version had a greater flow between render and bg, with more interest and depth to the bg. So I added that one. Despite what the others are saying about negative space, I like that it contrasts from the other banners in that respect. I know, I'm being picky and arbitrary, but that is my prerogative as banner admin. ^_^Originally Posted by Alhuin

The clannad one is too simple, the Yoko one needs a better font and the berserk one is just there because i want to make a berserk banner and can't find any decent renders
Do without the non-gotwoot text on the Yoko one and I think you've got a very strong entry. The song lyrics just look really out of place. They're unnecessary and put the image out of balance.
Kirino over Kuroneko? For shame...

Try the elfont gothic font or something similar for the Yoko one. I agree with Ryll that the lyrics should be removed.
I like the BG for the Asuka one, but I think it could use a better and more updated render.

I like them all Arch. Except the text on the Yoko one, which others have commented on... and the updated Asuka render that shinta recommended. What is the text from in that one anyways?

I don't think you needed to center or move Yoko at all, and the "gotwoot" text was fine. It was the lyrics that needed to go.
You're obsessed with getting rid of any negative space. Leave some in sometimes.
Another one, Vocaloid. I pulled off a Lucifus and imitated the previous style i achieved with the Asuka banner.

I'm thinking maybe some light erasing around the render so it blends better with the background? Though i got to say i also like how the edges of her hair look clear cut from the background like that as well.
Changing the Asuka sig would mean Ark has to put in a lot more work relatively though. :P

If the render is not attached to the BG, it shouldn't take much work at all.
If it were, a larger render can simply be slapped over it.

I like this one a lot. It's very refreshing and livens up the page whenever it's loaded. Normally I see a scowl or something on her face whenever I see a scan of her. Who knew she could be this cute.
The v1 Reimu looks better after it's pinned up in the banner section than as a standalone.

I like the balance you have here. Miku really stands out, and the color scheme blends very nicely. It comes off very clean. Nice work.
I don't think you need any text, but if you want a light-colored "gotwoot" in there, put it along the long horizontal grass blade on the right.

I managed to rip off the water effect but i had to make the lightning myself... and it ain't looking so hot right now
I'm pretty happy about the concept though, any ideas?
It's off center. Use the tip of the finger as a center guide and it should look more balanced. Aside from that, I like it.
