    Manga: SWOT

Been reading this non-sense manga recently and the best way to describe it at the moment it's some sort of combination of Yankee-kun to Megane-chan and Beelzebub.

Some funny and lame moments, some good and lame fights... it keeps me entertained for 5 minutes. Some of you will probably enjoy it.

    Red-Hawk scanlating, 16 chapters released.

Transfer student Manabizaki Kyou is a swot, a person who spends too much time studying. His dream is to attend Tokyo University and then work for NASA! He will soon discover, however, that the high school he's transferred into, which was once very prestigious, has taken in delinquents from the surrounding schools. Now it is full of violence and gang fights.

Luckily, Manabizaki has a surprising skill at fighting, particularly when he's defending the peace of his study area. Through this strength he'll find his new friends, a weak boy called Iwashida and a legendary delinquent girl, Hasuno Nene, who makes him feel things that, for the first time in his life, he can't explain...

Read the one-shot ages ago. And a few chapters after. It was all pretty shitty. Honestly I don't think this one will be sticking around for much longer, probably get canceled in the next month. Just like other lame start ups like Lock On and Metallica Metalluca save yourself and just start reading bakuman.

Only value in this series is how to see an example of when an mangaka fails to bring anything new or interesting to the table.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing when I saw that someone had made a thread for this series. Every time I see the ToC's, SWOT is dead last or near last. In this week's ToC, it's dead last once again.

    Issue 50:
    One Piece (Cover, Lead CP)
    Naruto
    Bakuman
    Bleach
    Enigma
    Toriko
    Kintoki (One Shot, CP)
    Kuroko
    Medaka Box
    Sket Dance
    Gintama (CP)
    Beelzebub
    Kochikame
    Inumaru
    Nurarihyon
    Reborn!
    Hokenshitsu
    Oumagadoki
    Psyren
    Light Wing
    SWOT

Where do you get that info, never cared to follow that? Oh well, it's not a good series so not surprised... but I was enjoying it for what it was.

I've been getting it from the site below for a long time. I don't know how I stumbled on to it.

Probably something related to Bakuman and all the talk about rankings in that series.

I've saw that site years ago, never cared to follow it. Thanks.

Ever since I started reading bakuman I've been obsessed with the rankings. It's a good site to follow since it updates it weekly and god there are at least two new series I followed they wound up getting canceled. It's kind of fun seeing a new series try and find it's direction and fail.

Metallica Metalluca (tries so so so hard to be like dragon ball, but mostly fails)

Lock On had an interesting concept, but did not go anywhere with it just goes to show that you really need to get into a good arc to hold people's interest

All i care about the rating is that Bleach doesn't make the top 5, everything else i'm MEH

PS: SWOT confirmed for cancellation in the next chapter
