    Yeah but why clone Zetsu of all people? Why not Itachi or Pain? That is assuming that all those Zetsu's are mindless drones with no independent thinking of their own.

    The way the said it made it sound as if it was Zetsu's innate ability, the only thing they needed was insane amounts of chakra
