I thought the same thing as David75 as I read this, Aizen being set up as the grand architect of everything ever destroyed the train precisely to give whoever was coming behind him (Ichigo) yet another chance to level up. He has already established that Ichigo's growth has some special meaning to him (I can't even remember what that meaning was despite it only being a few chapters ago) so I wouldn't find it surprising if that specialness isn't going to come back to haunt us yet again.
The whole trolling by Gin idea sounds like an interesting alternative though. I think that would be more entertaining to have him revealed as having his own motives and plans for Ichigo and co than having Aizen continue to spout of about how speshul and great he is until his inevitable defeat by Ascended Shinigami Ichigo.

Yeah but Gin controlling Aizen to make Aizen think he is controlling things is also part of Aizen's plan.
Gin can do it longer than anyone.
Chuck Norris agrees not...
About Gin, it sure has been hinted for a while now that he might have another agenda than only being Aizen's pawn.
It's not very important right now, what's important is that the manga itself is fillers with every little thing taking a chapter and plot not moving at all.
All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.

Is this new Getsuga Tensho going to use "Truth" instead of "Riatsu" ?

Everything Kubo does was is part of Aizen's plan.
there's no plan like no plan.
sig made by Itachi-y2k5, thanks, dude!
Currently Watching: probably a show directed at 9 years old girls, lets be honest.
You know the important distinction between Batman and me? Batman is fictional. In real life, there isn't always an alternative.
Every time Aizen improvises he does it according to his plan
So, Aizen is the Thorn of Camor?
When man invented the bicycle he reached the peak of his attainments. Here was a machine of precision and balance for the convenience of man. And (unlike subsequent inventions for man's convenience) the more he used it, the fitter his body became. Here, for once, was a product of man's brain that was entirely beneficial to those who used it, and of no harm or irritation to others. Progress should have stopped when man invented the bicycle. ~Elizabeth West, Hovel in theHills

Aizen was the writer, director, and both co-producers of the big bang.
Therefore Aizen is nothing.
