    This is kinda weirding me out, but I think I might see the relevance of this flashback. We're probably going to be seeing a lot more of the revolutionaries in the near future.

    And he does resemble him.

    Uhh... I think DBZ was referring to how come Ace didn't have a phycological problem from eating the Fire Fruit after he almost died burned.

    Not the most impressive example of Oda's foreshadowing, it was only a few chapters before the "current" events
