I know that at least 99% of material here is Japanese, but I guess that once in a while it's possible to introduce something else.

The anime is based on characters from the MMORPG with the same name.

Ankama Animation has been producing a French-language cartoon series by the same name, based on the video game. The first season of 26 episodes began airing on 30 October 2008, and new episodes will continue to air into January 2010 on France 3. Like the video game, the show is animated with Adobe Flash software; all the production is done in France, with the help of a few Japanese animators. The series is directed by Anthony "Tot" Roux, and character design is directed by Xavier "Xa" Houssin and Kim "Tcho" Etinoff.[11] During the London MCM Expo, the first two episodes were shown for the first time in English, but it is not known if an English-language version is planned. A spin-off called Mini-Wakfu, which features humorous shorts with characters depicted in super deformed style, has aired since September 2009. A special episode called "Noximilien l'Horloger", this episode will appear on the future DVD releases, it will tell the origins of the main antagonist, Nox, the production of this episode was made in Japan by a team of animators who worked on Kemonozume and Kaiba.

How's the art/story?

And genre?

The game's graphics look fairly basic, so I have no idea what to expect from an animated series based on it.

Well the style is fairly simple but nice, I've had other shows with strange artwork yet entertaining.

The humour is fine. The universe would be medieval for development, fantasy for there are lots of cute animals, or non cute monsters.

To give an idea, I found ep1 Dubed in english (beware) on youtube, also the uploaders seems to have had troubles with screen format.

Strangely enough, it's hard to find subed material, there are two important battles I do not link to prevent any spoiling. What I usually do is download only ep1 and a random ep in the season. I watch the first, if it's ok I quickly review (without fully watching) the random ep to further decide wether I should download and watch everything.


What got me was humor, universe and some interesting battles
