    HA, that is just fantastic!

    I especially loved this part:
"I'll starve to death before I'll cook for myself. I think I could survive a week without eating."

    Good stuff

Also, i do like Michael Bay alot more than i like Megan Fox, because say what you want about his newer movies, the dude has made some earlier ones that i really do like, like these:

    Bad Boys (1 and 2)
    The Rock
    Armageddon
    Pearl Harbor
    The Island

It would appear the rumors were true regarding the new lead female in Transformers 3.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley set for Transformers 3

Disappointing that they chose a waifish lingerie model for the role instead of a real actress. Not like there aren't a lot of hot young actresses who deserve the role more than an underwear model.

Personally I'd like to see Oksana Akinshina (Irena Neski in the Bourne Supremacy) in the role but her English isn't great.

Yeah why can't they just pic people who are actual actresses, instead they just pick "random" goodlooking women and give them acting gigs, in major blockbuster movies no less.

I guess they go for unknown people because they only have to pay them a fraction of what a more established/good actress would cost...

This isn't the kind of movie that's looking for an even remotely bearable performance by the love interest (or the main protagonist for that matter). It's a summer action flick for eye candy and not a whole lot more. If Bay was going for a memorable performance, he'd find someone who was capable of delivering one, but he's not looking to snag an award for great script writing/acting, so aspects like that tend to suffer.

If LaBoeuf wasn't just trying to sell the movie with his words, then Transformers 3 will rely heavily on story and on the acting ability of the leads, including the love interest. Transformers 2 was a special effects mess with a weak story line that did not let the actors shine, and that's why it was a disappointment for most.

I think the special effects will take a backseat to the storyline in the 3rd movie. Unfortunately this might mean more "human" roles for the Transformers themselves, which is something that always bugged me about the cartoons. It was hard to like arrogant Lamborghinis, whiny-bots, and soldier-bots who didn't follow orders (the aero-bots).

Yes those two ghetto-bots were terrible, a bit of the Jar-Jar Binks touch to try to reach a new audience that failed miserably in the eyes of the core fans.

Thing is, even if they go back to a 'relationship' basis for the 3rd movie thats not necessarily a good thing (my opinion) because the only reason i watch Transformers is just because it is TRANSFORMERS, i really don't give a shit about most of the humans in the movies, with a few exceptions like Anthony Anderson (hilarious) and John Turturro.

If i had my wish, they would make a Transformers movie about the war on Cybertron and the relationships of the Autobots/Decepticons and how the war started, and it would all take place on Cybertron.

That shit would be so awesome if done right :P

    Yes please!

Did you guys not see the cartoon version of all of that already? I think it would be a huge CGI-fest that I wouldn't want to see. There would be no human movie stars present so it won't happen.

I wouldn't mind movies made entirely with CGI, if it's done good they can do it, and they could use whatever technology Cameron used in Avatar and it would look awesome.

Though I'm not sure how much it costs to actually create the Avatar quality CGI, they should be able to afford it since they only need actors for the voices and not any on-screen performances :P

Still, it probably won't ever happen

Some info on the villain, how Bay felt about the second film, and the reports about this being the last film.

Mini review, trailer refers to youtube trailer:

Just saw Transformers: Dark of the moon IMAX 3D

**disclaimer, I did not see any material related to the movie before watching, and found the experience to be far greater, so watch the trailer at your own risk, the comments have tons of spoilers, review has the absolute minimum of spolers**

This movie was one epic thrillride. I loved the first one, but found Transformers 2 to be pretty dissapointing. Sure it had some good action sequences and the VFX were nice, but overall it was just very very messy; thankfully Dark of the Moon is more like the first one, heck because it had even less goofs than the first movie it's just plain better.

First of, Megan Fox being booted out of the cast was a good decision. The new girl, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, is not only a better actress (which granted isn't that big of a feat), but is also simply hotter; overall her presence on screen was just better than fox's was.

The story was much better than the one that was hardly present in that mess of a second movie, giving ample screentime to humans and individual bots alike and coupled with proper pacing this ~155 minute movie didn't feel like a drag at all.
I especially liked the inclusion of the historical apollo mission and JFK. Without spoiling too much, the only thing that bugged me about the story was how....gullible huminaty supposedly was....you stand your ground and fight goddamit! >_<

There was also a bunch of comedic moments, one with sam kicking the engine of his car, which was so damn funny for some reason, and a bunch more with people I didn't even expect to be in Transformer 3.

Now ofcourse the big selling point of Michael b.... I mean the Transformers franchise are the awesome action sequences and great VFX; Dark of the Moon definitly did not dissapoint in this aspect.
The graphical fidelity was just insane, best I've seen so far. I really tried hard to find errors...but honestly there were none. In fact I was already blow away with the opening sequence on cybertron. Now that's how you start a fucking movie...
Until we generate truly photorealistic graphics, this is definitly as good as it gets. Big part of that is cause of how grand and epic the scale of the movie is; Transformers and Revenge of the Fallen's sequences are actually quite small ( aside from the first movie's highway sequence ofcourse D: ). This time around it feels massive....it feels like how a war between giant ass robots should be.

Also the 3D effects were good, but where Thor might've been too strong with them, here they seemed like they could've been a bit stronger. But they did use the layering type of 3D I love..so yeah.

The audio didn't dissapoint at all either, it was more inline with Transformers, but better, not just loud like Revenge of the Fallen.

As for character specific stuff: Soundwave, Shockwave, Sideswipe and Sentinel (hey look at that, 4 S's ;P) were badass as hell! Too bad out of the 4 only Sentinel had some major screentime.
This time around I felt there weren't any annoying bots, like the ghetto twins in Fallen, so that's good..right?

Overall great audio, good pacing, superb AFX/VFX and a good story, bots and ppl alike die and it ends without any melodramatic bullshit, like it should..cause in the end this is an action movie where you just want to see lots of action accompanied by lots of explosions ;].

Highly recommended, blu-ray day 1 purchase! Go check this shit out! ;D

Just saw this as well. Definitely better than Fallen and I'm torn about considering it better than the first one as I think the first one would win on humor and in universe 'realism' (e.g. Transformers being immune to all but the most powerful and exotic human weapons and completely outmatching nearly all human technologies). The new sexy chick was pretty good, I'm not sure if I liked or disliked her massive pouty lips but I kept looking at them either way. Shia LeBouf was pretty consistent and Alan Tud(Firefly guy)'s was a great addition to the John Turturro random gag factory. But no one watched this movie for the humans, the robot action was intense and there was plenty of it without it feeling boring and repetitive like the pitched battle in Fallen. All in all this was definitely worth the sight.

I wouldn't even bother watching it bro. I tried to like it, and I might say it's better than the first two (especially the second one), but overall its really just more of the same crap.

I was looking forward to Shockwave as the bad guy, but he only shows up like 2 or three times in the movie. And what was that worm/snake robot thing he had? And it's probably just my fanboy said talking, but I really wish Laserbeak... was cooler? I dunno, I hated everything about laserbeak in this movie, despite him being one of the coolest.. I enjoyed Ravage in the second movie, but just couldn't like Laserbeak. And I wish Soundwave, not necessarily had a bigger part, but was just like.. Transformed into a cassette player/radio. Maybe a CD player. Or an MP3 player.. I just wanted to see Laserbeak transform into a disc/tape and go inside soundwave, that would've made the movie for me. (But that's really just fanboy ranting)

The plot was cool cause it was (almost) straight out of the old TV series, but I was disappointed when cybertron came close to earth and earth wasn't being ripped apart (like in the TV series)

I used to think these movies would be great if it was just tformers going at it, and there weren't any humans, but even when they do get that in the movies, it just looks so lame. I guess I thought the fighting would make up for it in the previous movies, but in this movie I just couldn't get past the hideous designs for the tformers.
