lmao @ Duval's birth scene. That was my favorite part of the manga and it's even better animated and voiced.
Mayuri's voice was a perfect fit for Dr. Indigo. They're both creepy researcher types.

When does that movie come out on DVD?
I believe there's no release date set yet for the movie. Did a quick search as well and the only store that has pre-orders for a Strong World DVD is Amazon Japan, set for July 23. But I have my doubts since it says it says its 84 minutes long, whereas the movie is 113 minutes long. Maybe its the pre-movie filler episodes.

That's exactly what it is. Episodes 426-429 on 1 DVD for the retail price of 4725 yen. I learned that from a search I did yesterday when I found this.

Not really a filler. Oda wrote the story and designed the characters for the movie.
Apparently doesn't even require a "not really". It's straight up not filler. It's in the manga.

lol not that I need to argue for the sake of arguing. It fit in nicely with the story is what I mainly wanted to talk about.
It's canon if it actually happened in the One Piece manga world. Since I doubt Oda would write all that just to go "but that didn't actually happen so disregard it" it's gotta be canon.
We'll see, depending if Shiki the Golden Lion gets mentioned ever again or not
