Movie: The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking

WARNING: The script review contains info that some would consider spoilers.

I already knew that David Twohy was going back to what made Pitch Black so fantastic with the new sequel, but after reading this script review, i am now more psyched about this movie than i've been over any movie in a long, long time!

Sure, the "Dead Man Stalking" title is cheesy but i don't care, this is going to be so fucking awesome i'll let that slide!

This is interesting news indeed. I loved Pitch Black when it was released (before Vin Diesel got popular), and, like someone commented on the article you linked, Riddick is probably the best character Diesel has ever portrayed, so hearing that he is going to be more ruthless than in Pitch Black makes me anxious to see it.

I'm glad they ditched the whole Necromonger thing though... I kinda didn't really like the premise of Chronicles... felt it took too much away from what Pitch Black started. The effects were nice, and the action was awesome, but didn't really feel the story.

Anyways, I agree that cheesy title is cheesy, but I'm looking forward to this when it is released.

It's dangerous to go alone. Take Nep.

I recently rewatched chronicles, in anticipation of the sequel, but wasn't sure how long i'd have to wait. Good to hear that its in the works officially, and it'll improve on the first movie's somewhat lackluster performance. Although the actual necromonger concept was a little odd, i do hope they keep the overall universe of that movie. I loves seeing all the different planets and moons, as well as the alien monsters. Very rarely do you have a movie that'll truly explore sci-fi in a fashion thats more then just spaceships and photon torpedo's.

Edit: btw, does that link pretty much lay out the plot of the second movie? i read a bit, but then felt it was reaching spoiler territory, so i stopped.

The review does contain some story details that might be considered spoilers.
I'll add a warning to my first post :P

Really looking forward to this, but I kinda wanted a sequel, but I'm fine with whatever... always loved the Riddick character.

Just finished re-watching The Chronicles of Riddick, the director's cut, and I really love this movie. Can't wait for the next one. I'm still not clear on what the movie is going to be about, and if it's a prequel or sequel, but last I heard they've finished shooting the movie. Also, I'm pretty sure it's no longer known as "Dead Man Stalking".
