This series continues to not disappoint. I'm with you on Crassus, Spartacus built his army on roman arrogance, and had they continued to apply roman arrogance against him, I think Rome itself would be in reach for him. I hope they do a...interquel? between seasons 2 and 3 to show how Spartacus gathered the forces he has now. That short summary didn't do it for me, I wanted more *drool*. We're going to see a lot of that type of thing this season, so its unlikely it'll happen.

    And um...angry Spartacus is angry...sheesh

It is very tragic that all he has is his anger left. It's a shame his wrath is going to lead to the downfall of him and his generals (who seem to have found something meaningful). Actually, maybe it is good that they got to live as free men and determine their own fate, even if it is sealed.

Also here is a cool interview about the last season: http://www.cinemablend.com/televisio...t-1-51703.html

I love this show. I hate crixus and his girl so much though. Their scenes are identical every single time. "You shine brighter than the sun" god, stop it, please.

Anyone catch the episode 2? Some moral ambiguity enters the picture...also WTF was Caesar having that woman do to him? That was bizarre.

Moral ambiguity from both sides of the coin, Crassus and Spartacus, which makes me think that they'll both fall by the end of this.

And yeah i didn't get that either, i guess that what you call genital mutilation?

    Ep.03:

Fucking Naevia man, that Roman was a total bro. I never liked her character, she's just there... being annoying. Can't believe Crixus passed on sweet Xena pussy for that other cunt.

It also seems that insubordination is raising withing the ranks with each passing day. Factions are being formed and if these pirates are added to the blend it's only bound to become worse.

Yup, now, I won't feel a thing when Naevia eventually catches it. I'm just annoyed that it doesn't look like anyone'll ever find out the truth behind his death.

    Episode 4:

That was a grim episode. Naevia (the 'mad bitch', as Gannicus so eloquently put it) makes my blood boil. I was worried she would end up killing Gannicus and was kind of hoping Caesar's knife was meant for her.

Also, I feel sad for Sabinus. All the guy ever did was be a good friend and look what it got him. As soon as Crassus asked Tiberius to include himself in the punishment, I knew the poor guy's fate was sealed. Dammit Tiberius, you had one God damn order and you couldn't even follow that!

Man, fuck the Romans. To me, this was the best episode since season 1. Season 2 definitely had its great moments, but the combination of nerve-wreaking intrigue, moral ambiguity and relentless brutality has not been achieve in intensity or quality of mix since season 1. Until now that is. Fuck the Romans but I'll I felt bad both for the pussies who ran and for the shackled slaves who got slaughtered.

I think Naevia is now my most hated character in the series, even more than Lucretia in season 1 (not season 2).

Insta-edit: How could I forget to mention, Gannicus is fucking boss. He owned the shit out of Crixus.

Indeed it was. Easily the best episode out of season 2 and 3 thus far.

What I liked even better was how he tripped Naevia WHILE he was owning Crixus. Like "Fuck off, I am busy here".

Also, I don't particularly hate the Romans here as I did in Season 1 and 2. The stakes are high for both sides and Crassus and Caesar understand this well. Who knows how much damage Spartacus can do against Rome itself if he is victorious, what with the majority of the Republic's forces occupied with foreign conflict.

Although I don't care much for the troops that actually fled, I do feel for Sabinus who did no wrong and yet was one of the unfortunate victims of the brutal punishment. As much as I have hated Tiberius thus far, I even pitied him here.

Oh yeah, faceplanting Naevia so skillfully while entangled got me jumping from my seat. My reason for hating the Romans is because the problems we saw in season 1 and 2 were systemic. A handful of quality romans don't change that, nor does the situation reversal we saw with Ceasar in Sinuessa. So I love it when they lose for whatever reason, specially knowing that they're going to win.

Anyone else laugh at the sex scene? I don't care how much of an Arena Blood Sex Lord you are, who the fuck manages to perform under an ice storm?

    Gladiators.

I thought that the head maid was the man-boy's mom this whole season, and I still want to think that. They look too alike for there not to be shenanigans. Her actions seem a bit inconsistent to that theory, though.

    Two episodes left?

Any yes, that Gannicus scene was beyond stupid. Also, I am kind of surprised Spartacus didn't get a handful of his men to give chase of Crassus' guard near the end. It seemed the rest of Roman troops were quite a bit further away to come to their aid. Yes, standing there and smirking is nice, but that was a great chance to kill of their general. Maybe hidden some troops among the corpse bridge? (although it would be hard to anticipate that Crassus would be stupid enough to show up like that) The fact that they had to remain in testudo to prevent any errant arrows or spears from killing their general should have made it easy to catch up to them.

I think Crassus brought all the rest of his men with him, and even though it might have been a good chance to get him then, the rebels were probably tired and outnumbered. I didn't really like the smirking and whatnot, but it would have been hasty to climb down those encampments and attack. And yea, I would say the snow storm sex was ridiculous, but lest you forget, many of those guys are walking around that mountain in naught but leather panties and don't seem to be suffering any ill effects.

How did all of the main characters manage surviving the snowstorm when a thousand extras died? It seemed like there was a lot more room in those dinky tents than was being utilized... But the fact that they used the dead corpses for a victory was pretty epic, anyway.

BTW, the costume designs are simply incredible. I would love to be a prop maker intern or costume design intern for a show like that.

Yeah, we all know how this story ends . This episoded threatened to wrest tears from my eyes on a number of occasions. It also made me lol quite boisterously once.

Crassus: "Ceasar, how have you come to be so rudely handled?" (lol xD)

Ceasar: "I found myself in shameful altercation. " (lol) "It shall not happen again."

Crassus: "And reason you are not astride horse?" (LOL)
