I'm very much impressed with how the new Spartacus is coming into the role. As he faced Gannicus I finally believed him as being the rebellion's leader. And Asher once again proves himself more than meets the eye. Honestly, I kind of thought of him as a bit cowardly, but a coward would've found a way to back out of that fight against the three soldiers. Instead, he ruined their shit. That was awesome xD. And then, to further show his bravery, he went ahead and assembled that crew of serial killers. This character keeps earning more and more respect.

Now you will pay for your freedom in the currency of honest toil and human blood."

Now I'm curious how Gaius would handle Sepia.
Thanks shinta|hikari for the sig.
Oh, snap! Wild cardddddd.

Well that backfired quite badly for Lucrecia, not only is Gannicus now against them, he also knows she wants Gaius dead... sucks to be her :P

I'm tingling at the thought of what may have happened to the wife. I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo*pauses to catch breath*ooooooooooooooooo hoping that Gannicus brings her pos ass to the rebel encampment. And man, Gannicus looked cool as shit pouncing from the shadows.

Oh, those wacky Germans! Gannicus did look pretty badass, long silky hair and all.
Btw, episode 8 just came out, but it's 04:52 here and i should probably sleep lol, so i'll have to wait until i wake up to watch it.
I also use a private tracker for almost all my torrenting needs, but it's already out on TPB, so you can get it there.

Really? She's still alive? That's complete bullshit. I don't care if he's not interested in killing her for vengence. She's been to the camp. It doesn't matter that she hasn't seen the way to it, she's seen it. If she recalls enough to describe it properly, I guarantee that someone knows enough to take the description and match it to temple ruins. She's also seen people and heard things. Letting her out of there alive was a stupid move. They didn't even manage to get weapons and armor out of her. This episode pissed me off.

I think it is a very good outcome on the episode. Imagine what would happen in Glava's camp when Illithia(?) comes back. She would definitely be in bitch mode when she finds out what Sepia is doing. A whole lot of political mess would ensure.

I can only hope that the reason she remains alive is so that she can meet a more horrible death. With Sepia's newfound knowledge of how her brother met his end, she'll probably want to ruin Glaber in some way. This may provide the incentive for Glaber to mend the relationship between his wife and himself.

I think it is actually good for Spartacus and bad for Glaber that she is alive. Now that she knows Glaber doesn't care about her at all, she and Lucretia are probably gonna throw a monkey wrench in his plans. I never thought they would kill her.
Knowing this series, an even more gruesome death surely awaits her.
Anyway, I hope she doesn't die <3 Illithya
I just started watching this show, based on all the talk and excitement about it in this thread. Not bad, especially in Blu-ray, the visual are stunning and the 300-esque effects are cool. I'm hoping there's more to the story (I've seen the first episode) because so far all I'm getting is the Russell Crowe in Gladiator feel, though I'm sure that was based on the Spartacus legend.
“For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?”
Everything about this show just gets better as it goes on ^^
However, since you just started watching it you (probably) won't have as much downtime between the seasons as the rest of us did, so the cast changes for some roles from season one to two will probably be much more jarring![]()

I watched S1 and caught up to S2 in about a week, and it took me a few episodes to get used to the new Spartacus. I didn't even notice Naevia had been recast though.

Yeah, I actually watched it first. I wanted to see it in chronological order.
How is this series so good? I'm astounded at the skill with which character development and action scenes are done. It's been awhile since I've been drawn into a story so deeply. *tears*
