Well dont know about brutal but the most disgusting part was the guys banging then the other guy raping the guy who hung himself.
Got to admit the writer must have some issues.

What a fucking cunt.. Wow I hate that bitch
Man, i did not see that coming... i really liked his character too.
Sucks to be Spartacus now... but man, when he finds out Ilithyia was behind it, and that "dominus" had his wife AND Barka killed... shit will go insane!

This is was def a tear jerker. Im glad i made this thread lol I have people to discuss.. What a cunt man fucking bitch... I knew shit was up to something...
Yeah I thought she was cute until she went and did that. But I have to admit it was clever. But seriously, she is so sadistic to someone who views as a slave/animal, but she kills someone of equal or higher status and only then does she feel complete remorse and sorrow. Perhaps for her own standing and not because she took anothers life, but it's an interesting contrast.
And we have yet to see Xena and her husband in their evilest light. Right now they can't be killed/screwed over without some sympathy votes but I'm sure eventually everyone will be happy that they're gone as well (after they do something particularly fucked up). For example I still feel sad about the fact that she can't have a baby.
For now, I'll savor the clever, conniving, and slightly flawed Xena. (Until the show downgrades her to senator's wife level)

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
That was some really devious shit that went down but when I step back I have to admit it was a nice touch to the universe to show that other prominent characters can and possibly will die. This gives me more hope that Asher/Asha will be relieved of his head before everything is said and done. Crazy ass Ilithyia is an excellent trouble maker character and I really can't help but feel for Batiatus since he basically wants the American dream and does seem to work hard for it but every time something good happens to him something bad tends to happens to even it out.
I think Lucretia/Xena is just an awesome character, she seems to have the largest range of emotions on the cast and feels like the most complete and multi-faceted character. I think she really loves Crixus but I'm not confident I know how she feels about Batiatus. It feels like she could genuinely love him and want him to succeed for his own sake or she could just as easily see him like someone she's stuck with and tolerates amicably but who she wants to see succeed mainly for the positive effect it would have on her own life. In either case I don't think she bears him much if any ill will. Seeing the excellent face she puts on in public and the cracks in it from behind the scenes makes her my favorite character to watch though, when I'm not staring googly eyed at all the natural(ish) looking boobage or gratuitous violence of course.
And on an unrelated note, did anyone else notice how similar Mira looks to Sura? They're clearly not identical as Mira has all those cute freckles but the first time I saw her I was like, she's going to end up in Spartacus' bed.
One of them is the wife right? I thought the wife and Spartacus' new maybe lover DEFINITELY look alike. But I never thought Spartacus would hook up with her because the wife DID say "I'm the only woman you'll ever love" (Hey, I did think she was clairvoyant or something lol)
I can't freakin' wait for the next ep. That BETTER not have been the finale!!!

Yes Sappi, Sura is Spartacus's wife, Mira is the new slave holding him at the end of episode 10.
And you will have to wait a while longer to see new ones, season 2 is on hold.

The newest episode was by far the best one Maybe finally they will start the whole rebellious Spartacus, as the vengeful one. Hope Crixus joins him and his slave girl.
Ohhh snaps!!! That was epic.

"Hrrrm...how long does it take to watch 9 one hour episodes of Spartacus?" That was the joy I was faced with this past week. I love this show. I embrace it, caress it, I fuck it. Way too much happened for me to throw my two cents in about everything worth speaking of, so I'll just say that this show speaks to me from all facets.
The breakdown of Sparticus' will, him learning humility to the point of casting aside his former identity and be rebuilt into an honorable, powerful, yet different entity was excellent. The way they showed that a slave's honor and scruples have no meaning but what their Dominus allows was masterfully done. The fights are awesomely choreographed and just unmercifully brutal. And the machiavellan political maneuverings are deliciously evil. Oh, and the humor, god I love it! "WHO WILL FACE ME?! WHOOOOOO WILL FAAAACE ME?!" while holding the guy's face on display. Classic xD. I have 0 complaints about the show.
The episode that just passed was great. First, Crixus is badmotherfucker defined. That might've been my favorite fight scene thus far in the series. Maybe...Spartacus had his moment too, but Spartacus seems more inventive in the arena whereas Crixus seems more, straightforward. Both styles have their allure xD. Secondly, Batiatus fucked up even as he played a brilliant hand. Tied up loose ends indeed, but too little too late. It just goes to show. Spartacus really did try to suppress who he was in the past. If he hadn't, his dead wife would've remained on his mind (if he had remained alive) and he would've IMMEDIATELY recognized that the fat guy was uninjured. No subconscious pressure would've been needed. Now we get to see just how smart Spartacus is.
I just hope that Illythia bitch gets what's coming to her. And the universe hides behind cosmic locked doors the atrocities capable of delivering justice to her.

I couldn't believe how much actually happened in one episode. It reminds me of Nip/Tuck in that sense. Not an hour of waste, but a complete hour of story.

Man, I'll say it again, I LOVE this show! Those fight scenes just make you want to get up and start a bar fight wherever you are. And man, I'm beginning to respect Spartacus more and more. Right now, he can bow down to the man primarily responsible for his plight, as well as the man who murdered his wife, all the while maintaining his identity, and his desire for vengence. I also like that he's plotting intelligently and starting to ready the gladiators for rebellion.
I really wish he'd have said nothing at all about his plans to that girl slave who won't leave him alone, but at least she didn't betray him...yet. Then again, it was said at a point he was willing to sacrifice everyone just to see Batiatus die. I think seeing Varo's wife (Orelia?) reminded him he does care about others, and seeing fucking Claudius Glabber again that reminded him that it's more than just Batiatus that needs to catch it. I
Also, I think when Crixus finds out what really happened to Barca, he'll start seeing things Spartacus's way. Having lost his love, with no hope of freedom, he'll then (finally) understand what it means to be a slave. And no, no sir, he will not like it. I see no flaw in this series thus far xD.
