I have missed some of the earlier ones, but have seen a few now. It is pretty good. Some parts are eh though. Too much blood for the sake of blood.

I love this show, insane amounts of blood and violence, full frontal nudity, and sex scenes that are pretty much softcore porn lol, whats not to like?

Plus i actually like the characters and the story is decent aswell.

Good thing this show was renewed for a second season before the first episode had even aired on TV, thats fucking commitment ^_^

Also started watching the show after i heard the review "a collective of blood,sex and orgies.
Looked at the cast and saw Xena (Lucy Lawless) and i was hooked.

The only thing that i find slightly annoying is the fact it seems to be more full frontal male nudity than female, guess the ladies need some eye-candy aswell, eh?

Sadly, I've only seen a guy naked once so far.

And yes, the eye candy is very nice. Very nice indeed.

Also now that I know that one lady is XENA I can't unsee her as Xena! I think it's freaking awesome that she's making a comeback right now though. I'm on like episode five and loving it.

I think they stepped their sex/gore game up in this episode, and I have to say I like where this is going.

I thought Asher was a permanent cripple, I didn't know gladiators who are trusted enough would be able to go outside palace walls! Does Xena's husband know Xena is banging that gladiator? And somehow I don't think Xena will face the repercussions from snobbyrichgreek girl for obviously betraying her. But she DID kill someone so they're in it together now.

I really like Xena. She expresses emotions so well. I admire her subtle face shifts when someone hits on a conversation topic that she finds unpleasant. She then smoothly creates the perfect and persuasive reply in a masterful fashion. I really admire Xena as an actor (and character).

The boy killer arc was a good ride as well. It seems like the leader of the gladiators isn't done with it yet. Perhaps Asher's indiscretions will all be revealed at once. Or perhaps someone will just get fed up and murder him. He's definitely not in the proper position to take risks of betrayel though. He's goin' down.

well she was a minor character and she was annoying.. But she was hot so it was partially ok.

This is my favorite new show on TV. I love the ultra-violence and sexuality. I love Lucy Lawless as the Domina Lucretia. She's such a schemer. Seeing Illithia bash that bitches face on the marble floor was brutal.

What do you guys think is the most brutal scene in Sparticus so far? I'd have to say that crucifixion scene was the worst.

Hmm. I think the skinning face part was noteworthy. But I thought he would take his really dirty fighting style to the gladiator ring to win.... Which makes it seem like consistency is lacking to me.

I bet the moment Spartacus finds out his wife was murdered he'll lead a revolt. (Season 2?)

Another question: When is Xena going to find out her boytoy has another love?
