Got out of my lurking nature to simply post my disgust...

It wasn't completely terrible. At least not yet. I still remember the long stretch of fillers between Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden, and this is nothing compared to them. If anything disappointed me immediately it's the fact we got the same old basic group for this mission. The imagination of the filler script writers is already badly stunted, so why do they challenge it further by only employing the old group that can't offer anything new or surprising anymore.

No. It doesn't make it better. Specially since Utakata is the Jinchuuriki I least like design-wise (apart from Naruto that is). I was just saying how Kishimoto himself can make crappy characters and not just the filler guys.

Yes. Kishi made a color spread with all of the Jinchuuriki on it(even the little 3-tails kid even though he wasn't technically a Jinchuuriki and has a different haircut). And the 6-tails guy is on it, complete with blowing bubbles.

I have no troubles with the bubble guy. Seeing how he killed those enemies so efficiently and brutally, he must be a cool guy.

This guy is one more level above Sai.
Sai was semi-believable in that he's taking "art" to a different level. With the traditional value and fixation on perfection/art/beauty, it "sort of" fits into the ninja world.

I'm guessing the bubbles are probably his bijuu's power, which makes his own feelings kind of irrelevant.
It's like calling Gaara lame for using sand. It's Shukaku that uses sand.
Or blaming Naruto for using awesome ultraviolence because that's what Kyuubi uses.
