I just wanted to remind everyone that Conan's new show starts tonight at 11pm eastern on TBS. I can't wait to see how it does ratings wise.

Yeah, I also enjoyed his performance with Jack White. I didn't know he could play the guitar like that.

I just read this about the ratings.

Conan’s new TBS show scored a 2.8 rating among Nielsen’s 56 metered markets. In contrast, Leno earned a 2.7 rating, Letterman drew 2.5, and Kimmel received a 1.7.

Against his Comedy Central competition, the ginger-haired comic also fared well. "The Daily Show" earned a 1.5 rating, while "The Colbert Report" nabbed a 1.1 rating.

However, those numbers are subject to change once national figures come in later today.

TOTAL VIEWERS

Leno - 4.1 million viewers
Letterman - 3.2 million viewers (in encore telecasts)
Fallon - 1.8 million viewers (in encore telecasts)
Ferguson - 1.7 million viewers
Kimmel - 1.6 million viewers
Conan - 1.5 million viewers

Being on basic cable instead of network TV will severely reduce the numbers for Conan. I'm still amazed how some people do without even basic cable tv.

With such low viewer numbers, I'm surprised the late night talk show scene is such a war zone.
