I'm playing this too, it's really cool

even though

There are around 40 heroes to choose from

is not really true because you have to unlock them first
which will take months.

the cool thing about this game is that teamplay is *everything*.
there's no way you can win a match if you play all by yourself. you really have to play *with* your team... trapping enemy heroes, help them retreat etc.

and it's really great for beginners because it has a tutorial and recommended item-builds
so even if you haven't played DotA, you won't have problems to use ur hero and play your role in a match (tank/fighter/burst/support etc)
