Definitely gayer in the anime.
Also, Hannyabal just isn't funny in the anime, which is unfortunate, because I think his dialogue is hilarious in the manga.

Bon Clay's reunion with Luffy was beautiful man, finally, someone who's actually on Luffy's side.
