    Movie: Ninja Assassin

Saw the trailer of this movie a couple of times in the cinema's. Looked promising. In case you start thinking "Hey, some japanese dudes who can actually fight!", half of the cast is of Chinese origin. Leeding role is played by that "Japanese" dude Han from TFATF: Tokyo Drift and F&F.

The dude who played Han is Korean.

This movie looks like it could be entertaining, or just a huge wire-fu mess.

For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?

Ya the trailer looks badass, but the fast and the furious guy ain't the lead, the lead is played by this guy

Dude has done some serious change to his appearance lol

    This is him in 2006

This is him in 2008 (in the movie)

With wire-fu, you don't have to be a martial arts guy. You do have to be a little athletic and in-shape though.

Too many Koreans taking up Japanese roles these days....

It's not like Hollywood hasn't done the same thing with Chinese pretending to be Japanese...

Or Caucasians pretending to be Asian for that matter.

Yeah, forget Goku, but I still don't understand how Kyo Kusanagi is a caucasian.

Just watched the movie, and man was it violent. I really liked the movie, I thought the martial arts aspect was really good. Forget the idea of wire-fu, they really did a good job here as far as the fighting went. I was worried about the movie having a lot of Matrix style moments, but that wasn't the case.

Were there a lot of ninja moments? I don't really want to see pop stars fighting....

Fellaz, sorry bout me getting facts mixed up. Just posted stuff from hear/say. But do trust me when I say that this movie is PURE AWESOMENESS!!!! Like BEST ninja movie I've ever seen! Seriously! Do note the "Ninja movie" part. Sure there are awesome Kung Fu movies out there, but this one in it's genre, OWNAGE. Only things that were off where the British police dude and the American police woman, really didn't fit in there. Also, I would've liked the leader of the Ozunu clan to speak only Japanese, would've really given off that feel. "Rin", "Pyoh", "Toh", "Sha", "Kai", "Jin", "Retsu", "Zai", "Zen"!!!

A few years ago, a HK movie called House of Fury had some ninja fight scenes (ok I think there's actually only one), complete with Ninjutsu. Goofy at best

There's very little ninjitsu here, more like the blending in with shadows and that kind of stuff, and some healing. But overall is just a lot of weaponry at 500mph.

Especially near the end of the move "FLASH STEP"!! It was a pretty good movie overall and lets just say this ninja goes through some painful shit.
No one but the enemy will ever teach you how to destroy and conquer. Only the enemy shows you where you are weak. Only the enemy tells you when he is strong. And the rules of the game are what you can do to him and what you can stop him from doing to you. I am your enemy from now on. From now on, I am your teacher."
