    Manga: Shitsurakuen

    From Onemanga:

Himoto Sora is a transfer student with a sense of justice and dreams of becoming a knight. Upon arriving at Utopia Gakuen, she learns of a virtual reality-like game played by the male students in which they use girls as weapons in battles for status and treat them as commodities. Seeing one of these girls being abused she steps in and though some sort of error unwittingly becomes the first female participant of the game.

this is like, the stupidest thing I've read in a while.

I'll read it as a collection of pictures and words, there's no story worth reading.

sig made by Itachi-y2k5, thanks, dude!
Currently Watching: probably a show directed at 9 years old girls, lets be honest.

You know the important distinction between Batman and me? Batman is fictional. In real life, there isn't always an alternative.

    Thoughts:

I saw Sora's hotpants uniform, and wondered why the girls uniform would look so silly, but thankfully Sora herself commented on it a few pages into the series, also showing that she's the only one who looks like that.

Frankly, I find this series repulsive. I can understand why girls would come there in the first place, because the Iwawhatever Group apparently has enough power to prevent their extremely chauvinistic attitude from ever being publicly known. But one thing really bothers me:

Why the hell would any girls STAY?

Just leave! The worst the group can do is prevent you from talking about it, and they can't completely stop the word from getting out, no matter how powerful the story is trying to make them out to be. Instead they all stay and get completely brainwashed into thinking that is how things are supposed to be. I will concede in chapter 5 that they say the Group will completely ruin your life as a penalty for breaking the rules, but that still doesn't mean they can make a girl stay. Even Sora's childhood friend, while there is definitely something up with her, is just as brainwashed as the other scared girls that Sora rescues.

Speaking of her friend, why didn't Sora make it a priority to save her friend? She's certainly strong enough using the Rifle girl. One could guess that she told Sora outright she didn't want to be saved yet, but neither of them even brought the subject up.

Even if the Group ruined your life, emigrate to another country for God's sake! It's not like this Group is the freaking Illuminati, they're a wealthy investment group, not some secret worldwide organization.

This series is beyond retarded. The level of suspension of disbelief required for this kind of situation to even exist is too much.

    ...but I like Sora's hotpants.

I forgot to mention what we have up ahead.

    1. Finally, after her being there for about a week, an adult shows up, he's a male, and a jerk. so he kills some other jerk guy. he has a hot lady as a weapon, and she turns out to be the school nurse.
    2. Sora gets a girl, who's quiet and doesn't say anything, but suddenly she's attacked by some idiot, who tries beating her without a weapon. something stupid happens and it turns out that this guy and the quiet girl actually love each other.
    3. finally, two volumes in the story, Sora remembers to ask her friend what's the deal with her.

    4. they realize how stupid this story is, and stop translating it.
    5. becomes a giant mega-hit in Japan.

can someone verify if the author (NAOMURA Tooru) is male or female? the story so disregarding to women that it has to be written by one.
