I liked how Ryu showed up out of nowhere with his care-free attitude.

lol, yeah. dude was just at the back and he was like "uh, back of the room window seat. not giving it up". that was awesome.Originally Posted by animus
awman, this show is so good! i do hope we see progression in their relationship though. now that she's finally realized her feelings.
i feel bad for the dude, cause he keeps doubting himself, and he's like "ugh, i'm so full of myself, of course she isn't into me" ahh!

Yeah, that was one of the best scenes so far. It very nicely and unexpectedly broke the sugary scene of those people who had visibly recognized Sawako's real character surrounding her. Kind of like made a seat next to her seem nothing abnormal, unlike the obviously purposeful way the others were choosing their places.Originally Posted by Pandadice
Haha, I liked Sawako's interaction with the puppy. It went from cute and innocent to mean and vicious in a matter of seconds. I also liked the confused expression it got when Kazehaya said that he and Sawako were friends. The question mark over it's head was a nice touch.
I hope they give Yano and Yoshida more screen time. I'm especially fond of Yoshida and the way she bursts into tears every time something touches her heart. They are a pretty entertaining duo to watch and I look forward to seeing them in every episode.
you know, i like their characters, but i really don't like their character designs :\Originally Posted by Marik

I was pleased with that ep, for some reason I had a hard time entering the show with ep1 and didn't enjoy it at all.
Now I can say I will wait for each ep, each week.
The designs remind me of Bokura Ga Ita, kind of modernized maybe.
All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.
I don't really feel bad for Kazehaya, because it is a pretty natural reaction given the position he is in. He knows he has a lot of friends and that a ton of girls like him. He just doesn't realize how dense Sawako is. Their mutual misunderstanding, Sawako thinking he's too good for her, Kazehaya thinking she doesn't see him that way, is very cute.Originally Posted by Pandadice
I'm ambivalent towards Yoshida's character design, but I really like Yano's because she reminds me of another female character from another shoujo series, Kokoro Tokunaga from Ai Baby.Originally Posted by Pandadice
Fun fact from the manga: In the first chapter (first episode), the author didn't bother to determine which one was which, she named Yoshida and Yano as a pair.
I was just about to post that!

Dammit, Sawako is just too cute. I mean, that face with that voice, that voice! (Mamiko Noto fan since Anna Coppolla, Enma Ai, and Tsukamoto Yakumo)
Wait, did they just say she looks "normal" when she smiled? She looks fantastic compared to the other girls in the show, at least to me. So does that mean that she actually has average looks by the show's standards, or was that girl just so surprised at the contrast between Sadako and Sawako that she couldn't see properly?
Peace.
It's that she normally never smiles and I think it helps that her smiles are so purely genuine. There's never any ambiguity in Sawako, nor any smiling for the sake of being social. When she smiles, she is truly incredibly happy. As for her looks, it's all about the almond-shaped eyes.Originally Posted by shinta|hikari
I liked the little moments in this episode the most. Pin's staredown with Sawako to prove he was awesome, and Kazehaya's corresponding failure. The scene with the note where she passed it on to Ryu, and again, Kazehaya's immediate swift rescue of the misplaced note. Sawako admitting she studies in her spare time with a confused head tilt.
Yano and Yoshida are still some of my favorites. Yoshida's crying, Yano's encouragement to Sawako, etc. All around great characters.
My favorite part was when Kazehaya panicked and slammed the table in an attempt to save himself from embarrassment because of Sawako's mistaken mail delivery. It is just so typical(ly cute!) of her to lack the confidence to even think that it was addressed to her.
It is really absurd if people actually start doubting Sawako just because of some rumour, although it seems something of the sort might happen in the preview. Are there people stupid enough to actually think that someone who cannot even speak properly to people, much less someone who drives people away with just her presence is able to spread rumours (whatever content they may have)?
Peace.
This is a shoujo, the stupidity level of general unnamed characters surpass shounen by a healthy margin. I'm just thankful that there haven't been any extended bullying of the main character, since that generally just makes me stop watching/reading.Originally Posted by shinta|hikari
awman, the note part was awesome. he slammed his hand down to grab it and she took that to mean it was for the girl. priceless.

I love it when a girl who looks wierd or as they say, scary, would look rather beautiful when she smiles.
Thanks shinta|hikari for the sig.
Ryllharu, that sig just wins
awman, for the first half i thought the rumors weren't gonna be any big deal, but then in stead of explaining things to the people she just decided to alienate herself from them D:. doesn't she realize thats' a bad idea O_o. she jsut needs to clear up the misunderstandings with the 3 people that matter :\
when i heard that ED this episode, and I was like "wait.. that voice is so familiar". and I thought it sounded like the female vocal in a Studio 4°C animated music video, and I looked up the artist of the ED and sure enough it's Chara from m-flo loves Chara - love to live by.

I think the ones at fault here are those around her. She is obviously socially inept, so expecting more from Sawako is asking too much. Kazehaya did the right thing by persistently confronting her, and he got a consolation prize of being told that Sawako can never hate him no matter what he does (quite a big claim, actually - how much do you have to like a person to actually be able to say something like this?).
In the beginning, I really liked that the two girls laughed the whole thing off, but then they started going against their better judgment based on obviously incomplete information. They didn't even let Sawako finish her sentence (twice)!? If the plot didn't require such a stupid event from happening it really should have been impossible.
Still, the fact that they actually cried (all night) shows how much they care for Sawako, which sort of lessens my dislike of what they did. Sometimes strong feelings towards a person is a source of great insecurity, and that is probably where their misunderstanding stemmed from.
Peace.
i'm sure it was hyperbole...Originally Posted by shinta|hikari
