Chobits had those pantsu moments and naked groping too, and it got really serious in the latter half. I'm pretty sure the foreshadowing done this episode is also indicative of such a future for this show.
Peace.
I've been betrayed by series that from the outset, seem very simple, straightforward and innocent, and then turn serious, or very, very black.Originally Posted by Archangel

There's also this infamous series that turn very serious near the end.
I'm curious, do you have a myanimelist link? Does it go over 9000?Originally Posted by Ryllharu
Episode was so bloody idiotic I couldn't stop laughing through all the episode. Brilliant.
Episode 3 wasn't as funny, but it was quite enjoyable. Ikaros looked very cute on her new clothes.
Its hard to take the series seriously when they accept Ikaros existance just like that. But the op may point towards something else.
I like the fact that every episode gets a different ending song and that it goes with the flow of the episode.
rofl, so this was definitely the best episode yet. this episode was hilarious xD

This episode really improved Sohara's appeal. The way she described the trap she set for him came off really sexy. Of course the whole thing backfired on her because Tomo is that much of a pervert.
What is the infamous vocaloid doing in this series?
I laughed so much with episode 4 I began to cry. Brilliant. The last scene was bloody brilliant.
Lol, that was one seriously wtf episode
I still don't think this apparent shift from wtfness to a more serious series is gonna sit well with most fans, they should just stick to their strengths
Still, that's probably the coolest anyone has ever looked with panties on their head
This episode was hilarious. It is by far the best episode of the series up to this point. Tomo had panties everywhere. Inside, outside, and even in the toilet.
The ending song and porno mag montage capped the episode off quite nicely. Hyper-Fusion Panty Robot ftw.
I thought this episode was hilarious but I couldn't stop hating on Sohara for being a bitch and using HIS angel card to turnHIS magically summonedall those panties into bombs. Tomoki's perversion is probably not the best thing in the world but Sohara's 'holier than thou' attitude irks me and I was overjoyed to see she had panties detonate while on her person not once but twice.
I suppose blowing someone up multiple times and destroying their house as payback for not being able to wear panties for a day is pretty typical anime girl justice though.
EDIT: Apparently they weren't his magically summoned panties

Yuki... those were her panties. Sure bombs were a bit overkill but I remind you this is anime, and not one to be taken particularly seriously.Originally Posted by Yukimura
I find that annoying things are annoying regardless of the medium they exist in. Sohara's character type annoys me regardless of the circumstances it is placed in.
She's annoying because she doesn't want dudes wearing her panties in their heads? O_o
I'm not a particular fan of her character either, but that last post makes you sound like one of those Asian panty thieves
i completely understand what you mean. though I wasn't really annoyed with it in this episode, and I just laughed at how many panties he had all over everything in his house. But yeah I got super annoyed in like He is My Master and stuff a lot. especially in the ep where like these kids come over and raid his house and like try to kick him out, and I'm like "THAT'S HIS HOUSE?!". so i definitely understand the frustration..Originally Posted by Yukimura

I guess I'll defend her because I'm actually rather fond of her character after this episode.Originally Posted by Yukimura
She asked Ikaros for the card, and Ikaros agreed to help her. I don't really think it is a strictly "holier than thou" attitude either, Sohara actually really likes Tomoki. He messes around with her, she usually hits him back. This time, instead of just beating the hell out of him, she playfully decided to mess with him. She had already beaten the crap out of him yesterday, so, figuring he would keep all of them, she decided to play it his way instead.
Of course she underestimated how much of a pervert he was, and her whole plan correspondingly backfired on her. They generally act the way one would expect childhood friends well past puberty act (in the anime way of course).
Every other character basically can tell that Tomoki and Sohara like each other. Mikako and Sugata both orchestrate plans to push the two together and into progressively more absurd situations, almost entirely at Sohara's expense.
Sohara just gives as well as she takes, she isn't some passive abused plaything like Haruhi's Mikuru.
