If I had written the plot of this episode, I'd have had the spell to autocancel after that half an hour period. The master would still have told them it will be irreversible, though, after that time, since he was going to punish them anyway (although Erza would have been collateral damage, but it can't be helped sometimes).
I would have thought recasting the spell to have been an obvious choice, regardless of whether you know the effect of recasting or not.

It was a nice episode. I wonder if that image of and adult Lissana was real, or projected from the childhood version? (ie how old was she when she "disappeared"?)
I was so expecting Happy to be a dragon, I couldn't help but be a bit disappointed.
Here's waiting for some crisis to unlock Inner Mirajaine again. It'd be nice for Erza to have a rival of her own too.

I've no recollection whatsoever if the manga has (yet) explained her character's fate, so I'm looking forward to it was well. This isn't a romance story by any degree whatsoever so in that sense it hardly matters; it's not like they'd need to reserve Natsu and Lucy for each other despite wishful people (like me) possibly seeing such allegations.Originally Posted by Buffalobiian

I never actually thought of Natsu and Lucy starting anything serious. Natsu/Lucy/Gray/Happy gives me a Ash/Misty/Brock/Pikachu feel as a team. Perhaps it gets a bit more serious with feelings and stuff later on, but I don't know.

it just give a hint not really much but its something we can work with. from the looks of it, it seemed to have happened recently like within a year or 2 as to the ep itself i agree it was a nice episode not much to complain other than i too was hoping that the egg really was a dragon and not some cat with wings..yea....

We didn't get to see as many Gray action shots as I'd like, but it can't be helped since we just recently finished up with his arc. Erza got quite a few costume changes in though (and she seems ever more busty in this episode). I certainly wouldn't be able to refuse her "invite".
I'll be expecting Element 4 to return right when Natsu gains the upperhand with the Iron Dragon Slayer, only to have Mystogyn and Laxus jump in Deus Ex style.
Despite the still-rather-crappy action animation, they sure know how to rally up some shounen adrenaline rush with that Fairy Tail theme.

It was annoying how half the time the subs said Lucy Heatfilia, half the time Heartfilia (which is the correct one, naturally).
Erza's various costumes are always nice to watch. But what I'm looking forward to is Juvia's more prominent appearance. She didn't yet say too many lines at the end of the previous episode. Well, naturally the other Phantom mofos should present some good fights as well as has been shown already by Gajeel.
I didn't even notice that.
What stood out though was that Aria's power was Nullify. You'd think being called Element 4 that their powers would all be considered an element. Unless this guy's power is "Essence" or something like that - but even then...

Wasn't Gajeel also one of the Element 4? His power is certainly not an element either. Or I guess it would be but in a much more modern sense.
I thought Gajeel was apart from Element 4.
Erza listed them as Jones, Element 4, Gajeel in episode 21.

I'm not terribly interested in Lucy's backstory (and Gray's) as much as I am into Mira's and Lissana's (perhaps only because their screentime is so much more limited).
So Drain was, after all, an elemental magic spell.
Gotta say too, I never tire of Erza fanservice.

This episode was far too hasty and flimsy to really create any kind of feeling to Fairy Tail defending their members to the last man and woman.
Well, with the Element 4 fights starting, I should be getting scenes with Juvia and that's all I've been waiting for anymore for a good long time from this fail series.

I really liked this episode, if only because it explored Mirajane's, Lisanna's and Elfman's past. I didn't realise that they were all siblings until this episode.
Sol was pretty competent as a mage, but I just want to see Elfman kick his ass next time
Gray looks to be Juvia's opponent, so I guess Natsu gets to take on the fat wind guy. (or Jose?).
Maybe they'll all take on Jose and Elfman gets his ass kick in return, followed by Mira's on comeback as an S-class. I can't see them taking Jose down without at least one of those.

Episode 24 - Horriblesubs
This did indeed feel like a pretty weak episode. Despite the death it didn't seem to quite reach any feelings of sadness. Those siblings weren't really even well enough developed.
The important thing is that in the next episode Juvia, my favorite Fairy Tail female character, appears again.
... why?
