if he wants to hide his eyes, why cover just one? >_>
You cannot hope to build a better world without improving the individuals. To that end each of us must work for his own improvement, and at the same time share a general responsibility for all humanity, our particular duty being to aid those to whom we think we can be most useful. -Marie Curie

Think it would be a mask to hide his butchered face...

Maybe the Sharingan got stuck on like Kakashi so he covers that eye (obviously if it was Obito he would have had to gotten a replacement non-Sharingan eye from somewhere, this would be the uncovered eye). Though the explanation for Kakashi was he needed it since he wasn't of Uchia blood, but I imagine it at least takes some Chakara for them as well.

Just playing devil's advocate with the theory though, I'd be disappointed if they did this special feature to show how one of the people close to Kakashi died just to have him be back.

The right-hand side of Obito was "crushed", while he gave his left eye to Kakashi. Tobi has the hole on his right.

If we say Tobi is Obito, then the open slot houses the sharingan.

    If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~

Well, considering everyone in Akatsuki except for Itachi and Hidan is a completely inhuman monster so far(sharkman, I guy with mouths all over his body, a guy sewn together with a bunch of hearts, a heart in a can...)his mask could be hiding any one of a million different monstrous powers.

Oops! Thought the mask had the hole for his left eye. Should have checked out a video before replying! Oh well, that would cover why he only shows one eye.

We cannot forget that Deidara is from the earth country, the hidden village of rock (or how it is called again...)? His forehead protector is the same right?

The dub calls it the "Village Hidden in the Stones".

Sadly no. Like I was saying before, they need to keep that key animator on a contract to keep animating episodes for them. They're just so beautifully done.

Yeah, every fight scene ever should be done by him.

Which is not to say he should be doing everything. There are a ton of parts where people are just talking during dramatic close-ups where a better drawn, but less animated, character looks much more amazing.

Does anyone know if he'll be working on any more episodes in the near future?

They have him available whenever they want, he has been the main character designer of the show since part 1 started. His episodes in part 1 were 17, 19, 48, and 151.

Making episodes like that is very expensive, they can't use him often.

17 and 19 are Team 7 versus Zabuza and Haku. It was an okay fight. It was not particularly physical or neat looking.

48 is Gaara versus Lee. Good taijutsu/choreography, and looks significantly better than anything in part 2 so far.

    151 is filler...

Whoever did the Orochimaru/Sasuke, Orochimaru/Sandaime Hokage, Naruto/Sasuke fight was WAY better. I thought it was the same guy though.

Yeah those episodes were a different person. Pretty much every legendary episode in Naruto was done by these 2 people though.

    Hirofumi Suzuki:
    17, 19, 48, 151 // S82, S85, S123

    Atsushi Wakabashi:
    30, 71, 133

^If we don't see that guy again by the end of the current Shippuuden arc, I've lost all hope of him ever doing another Naruto episode

Hirofumi Suzuki is good, but Atsushi Wakabashi is tha shit

I'm hoping he will be back to animate a fight that is coming, one which i believe is the best in the whole story so far

Like any episode that doesn't have him drawing it? Like normal naruto animators? I don't know about that man. Even the mouth movements are more flowing when he draws them. Everything is more interesting, clean and simple. Adding too many details makes the animation slow and choppy. And if you try to make the detailed "good" parts animated, you can't do it. It looks like crap and there isn't any speed to it. Plus they end up weighing too much.

Well, to give a specific example. There's the end of the Gaara's death arc, when they've recovered Gaara's body, and he's being brought back to life. I remember all the characters in that episode looked gorgeous. There's almost no moving around in that episode. It's just character showing emotion. And it's really well done.

You're forgetting the main pioneer who's style is responsible for those episodes, that type of animation and the most recent sasuke diedara fight and episode 85. His name is Norio Matsumoto. He's actually the main one leading all of them.

He did some pretty big stuff in part 1, but Norio only animated about 2 minutes of 85 and 123.
