For some reason I absolutely love the kind of settings and scenes where you know the main character is strong enough to end the upcoming fight in one second, yet everybody around him thinks he's a goner.
I wonder how long it will take before Luffy starts to learn about haki. And whether it will get to a point where he will actually receive official teaching. No matter how foolish he is otherwise, he's quite smart what comes to fighting.
I agree....its the best part of any shounen, imo. I loved it back in the DBZ days when Goku and Gohan would just screw around with other people... or when Gohan was in high school and guys would try to pick on him. I think when you've spent years watching a character grow and become stronger, you have a sense of gratification when the character is severely underestimated.

He needs to beat some sense into that queen bitch, or do a reverse of what Sanji did to that dude riding the sea-cow thing, and mess her face up like hell, then see if shes so easily forgiven.

I love how they animated Luffy's punch this episode. There was the initial impact, then he whipped out a second impact in the same motion.

only people who are lusting after boa and open there hearts to her can be turned to stone, since luffy doesnt give a shit about love for a woman at this point in time, hes only thinking about his crew, hes not suseptable. Thats not to say he might not be in the future.....
Boa seems strong, as strong as a admiral or other high ranked guy is boas power lets her quickley dominate very large amounts of people at a time.
Did anyone notice the not introduced yet have changed colours in the opening in the last few eps? i think they started out as red maybe and now are black... dont have old eps can anyone confirm this?

Well, he's not completely unaffected by her powers because she shot him with that bullet kiss.
The bullet kiss isnt her mello mello skill.
It is likely based on Haki just like Luffy Gomu Jet gun?
Anyway, a refined version, seeing how it does look like a flying heart.
So now apparently jet pistol is haki-based? That's news to me.

The only woman that has gotten a reaction out of Luffy has been Nami. And Twice.
1) When Mr2 was imitating her and opened the shirt to show he copied full body
2) 'Happiness Punch' at the end of the Alabastra arc.
Nami has given Luffy a fat lip or bump on the head more than just those times. Usually it's just considered "comic relief" though.

i think he was refering to times when he was affected by sexual incidents from nami, not physical ones.
