A joke has a punch line. Sarcasm stands on its own. You should try it sometime.

I gotta see this movie, its getting great reviews from all corners.

For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?

I watched the movie, and I thought it was a ton of fun. I didn't think it was fantastic as some here are putting it, but it had some very good elements to compensate for its flaws. I would say that it's like Starship Troopers in that sense. Really cool fun movie.

Although the documental-type picture worked in some areas, it also took away a bit from what could've been even better effects for the aliens and their technology... it also didn't help that it slowed the action down and it made it difficult to get into the movie early. I thought the dialogue and characters were quite bad. But the situations they're placed in and how they're portrayed makes it fun if you manage to get a laugh out of it when it gets over ridiculous.

In all, this is certainly not a movie for everyone, though I really enjoyed it. Bonus points for the novelty, which I think many are rating it as high, but I can't help but think that this could've been way better.

    So, we'll we see a District 10?

I really hope they don't make a sequel to this. As great as it was, it was just enough and I really don't want any cash cows. The transition from documentary style to narrative action style was so seamless that any sequel would not be able to continue the theme, and ruin it.

Anyway, loved it, and the main guy is a great actor. I love how every time anything at all happened to him, he was like "OH FOOK!"

According to IMDB all his lines are ad-lib. Not sure if I believe that entirely, but it's plausible. He was really good, and he'll probably become a star now.

Just got back from seeing it... Best movie I've seen in a long time!

About to look on IMDB and see if they already have a sequal in production. I think it would be great to leave it alone as a stand alone movie, but come on... it seems like every good movie now gets a sequal, or 2, or 3.

Blomkamp has said that he'd like to revisit the universe of this movie, but he's currently working on a different project, with several other projects on the back burner.

So basically we'll get a sequel some day, if he feels like it, and if he has a good enough foundation of films to spend time on another D9.

<@Terra> he told me this, "man actually meeting terra is so fucking big", and he started crying. Then he bought me hot dogs
