    Movie: Ironman 2

Could'nt find a thread about this movie so i'll make one where we can post info/news on it.

Heres a new image of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow.

Wish they had some full-body images of her in that outfit..and some from behind *wink*

Scarlett has the body for the role, but the hair and face are wrong. I'd like a younger Kristin Scott Thomas in the role.

But I think Ironman 2 might be making the same mistake of a lot of superhero comic book movies, too many major characters. Looks like there will be 2 super villains and 2 heroes in this movie. That's 1 each too many.

For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?

True, best example that would be the third Spiderman, they should have skipped Sandman (seriously boring villain) and focused on Venom (seriously awesome villain), tho i believe in Favreau's skills to make it work :P

I think Spider-man 3 would have worked better if they had set up Eddie Brock hating spider-man and left Venom for the next movie.

I hope Ironman 2 sets up the Avengers. I'm thinking of that last scene from the Incredible Hulk.

No Rhodey? War Machine would kick ass!

I hear that Rhodey (Terrence Howard) isn't returning to reprise the role of War Machine for some reason. Anyone happen to know who WILL be playing the new Rhodey?.

Yeah, the original Rhodey was more serious a person than Terrence Howard could pull off. Cheadle has that "inner rage" demeanor that works better as Rhodey, unless they rewrote the character from the early comic days.

Cheadle is a good actor. You guys see that SLJackson is appearing is Nick Fury, and then having his own movie after this?

iron man 2 might be worth going to a midnight showing and being dead at work the following day.

I like Samuel L, but why make Nick Fury a black guy, and Jackson doesn't fit the role either. I can't see a SHIELD movie being much different than the upcoming GI Joe movie.

Well, Nick Fury is black in the latest Ultimates comics I suppose.

More of the agenda to make comics more politically correct I guess. Looking back, comics in the 80s and 90s were predominantly geared towards white kids, so there weren't a lot of black characters. An adjustment makes sense, but I hope they don't go overboard with it. Nick Fury is a pretty minor character anyway, so it's kind of silly.

Yeah, Ultimate Nick Fury is black and in my opinion the superior version, he`s just an absolute badass, just for the record, he is based of Samuel L. Jackson.

Apparentelly it`s going to have some elements from The Ultimates (Ultimate Avengers), if they adapt Ultimates 1 page by page my life would be complete T_T.

Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with him being black, it's just the re-write nature of the matter that bothers me, and particularly if it's to meet a PC agenda. Why not create new characters who are black, instead of re-making already established characters into something else than how we remembered them?

The Ultimate universe is suposed to be a more modern retelling of the original marvel universe, the change on Nick Fury is not the only one, The Wasp is asian and a mutant, Black Widow is evil, Spider-man is 16, Thor is a hippy who assures everyone he`s the son of a god, the green goblin is... well...

Yeah, the Ultimate Universe brings the nerdiest in me, guess what U means in UChessmaster

Speaking of Ultimate Universe, has anyone read Orson Scott Card's Ultimate Iron Man? Damn cool story.

Nick Fury seems to have at least a medium sized role in the Ultimate series. I dont think Samuel L. Jackson's presence will hurt the movie.

Denzel Washington would have made a better Nick Fury.

I personally couldn't stand Samuel L. Jackson's Mace Windau in the Star Wars prequels.
