    Sora no Manimani

"Saku Ooyagi returns to his old town after seven years and becomes reacquainted with a childhood friend, the ever-boisterous Mihoshi Akeno; but the reunion is far from merry since his last piece of memory between them is of her falling off a tree and him diving to save her. Regardless, Mihoshi focuses her all into improving their tattered relationship and forces Saku to join her astronomy club." -AniDB

First of all I have to note I either wish another group will appear or TKK will invest a bit more effort into their work. The series itself doesn't really require the most amazing translations, I reckon, but still leaving multiple simple lines untranslated is dubious at best. It could have used a little bit of language check as well.

The series itself seems to be somewhere between Sketchbook and Manabi Straight, I'd say. With the obvious exception this one has guys in the main cast as well, which I consider a jolly good thing. I don't know how far the relationship between the main characters will develop, but I wouldn't mind if it got some attention as that would further distinguish this series from the usual stock (high-school club centered comedy / slice of life).

I'll probably watch at least the couple of next eps to see if this is the kind of nicely flowing series I like to watch every season.

A pleasantly relaxing first episode, with Mii-chan chasing Saku to the ends of the world and hugging him when she finally catches up. So, Saku hates her because she bullied him and caused him to break his arm when rescuing her? That's a hard case, indeed, but we'll see where this goes.

Saku already confessing (at least to himself) that he actually missed the nutcase Mii-chan kind of suggests his injury probably won't play that big a role anymore, especially when it was revealed the girl herself also was hospitalized. I wouldn't have minded if he had tortured Mii-chan a little longer with guilt (in a comedic manner), but he's probably too good for that and she too energetic to let such little things bother her many times.

Well, I hope they can come up with some nice plots. At least the characters are amusing enough so far.

With that kind of innocent look, it's pretty hard to stay angry at Mii-chan.

I somehow thought Mii-chan was seriously romantically interested in Saku, but it doesn't look that way. Although there's always the textbook chance of her simply not realising it yet. She's so busy with the stars that she might not have time to think about such things before it's starting to get late and the man is almost taken away by someone else. Still, how she's always hugging Saku seems strange indeed if she's supposedly not interested in him. But there are people like that, of course.

I'm also going for the "not simply realizing yet". Those wild hugs are probably her sign of friendliness towards the person and she does hug comfortably around Saku, much to his annoyance. I find the club president to be the funniest because of his random splurging of blood and power-up bicycle.

I'm really really enjoying this series, though there's no one discernible reason why or one glaring thing. Everything just meshes very well.

I would have thought that the president would be on the floor, not Mii. Still, I guess it would be enough to shock anyone who wanted to go stargazing and it just happens to rain outside.

Hmm, a Hime-centered episode. I also want to know what Mii's answer is, too!

Mii is certainly a tough case. It seems like a romance still hasn't visited her mind, yet judging by how she's always seeking out Saku (and hugging him), it likely would be a huge shock for her if Saku wasn't anymore available for such things. But she will soon win some density awards, that's for sure.

Mii obviously likes Saku. It is just that she still has no interest in romance, and Hime will most likely cause that to change in the future.

    A new star:

    Episode 6 - AonE

    - - - - - - -

It seems like Saku is somewhat jealous after this new teacher dude, Mii's old friend, appeared. As irritated as Saku seemingly was after Mii's continuous attention, he now obviously is sorry somebody appeared to share that attention. And not only that but in fact someone who might have a lot more common, history included, with her.
