I really like the character designs and, in my opinion, the animation style. That's probably the only reason I'm still keeping up with it. Otherwise, it appears so far to be your *mediocre* harem-comedy-romance-perverted-fantasy-action genre anime.

For the time being, though, I'll just pretend this is another Kekkaishi only with more women involved.

Also, late for this, but credits to Marik's Hayate no Gotoku!! thread for the link/torrent format.

Episodes 6 and 7 are up!

I've been watching this, it's been entertaining but there's not much to say about it. It reminds me of Goshuusama no Ninomiya-kun but with a little bit less relationship strife and a little bit more making friends with mystical creatures in human(oid) form.

I never expected for the evil spirits to be little cute things. Aside from that, it seems like the usual romance anime you can expect from an H-game. Lets see how well this fares.

    Woo, episode 8 is up!

You know, Ameri reminds me of Kaede from Shuffle! I get that vibe from her. Other than that, if I were to like someone in this show, it would be Nue. She's just more likable than the rest of the cast.

I watched episode nine. Seemed slow to me, but whatever, it's fine. Now, I kind of feel indifferent towards Ameri because she loves Yuuri, but can't seem to display those feelings toward him due to Mashirou, and at the same time, wants both of them to be happy. It's either one or the other, Ameri! On the other hand, I knew that dragon would survive or he would be a pretty useless villain to die in one shot.

I loved Nue running around like a little kid in the tower and eating those chip things with her feet dangling off the chair, and various other random little sister moments, so cute. Then you add on her snarky personality and she becomes an even bigger barrel of fun.

Ameri I feel kind of bad for, but at the same time like you said she can't/won't express her feelings and guys in haremesque anime don't easily take subtle hints from girls they aren't already into. Ameri's really got no chance against Mashiro since she's fighting against both the mutual attraction of Mashiro and Yuuri's as well as both of their perceptions of her as a 'friend' instead of a potential romantic partner for him. It's no big wonder that she'll go evil again rather than accept that he's just not that into her.

With Mashiro's powers neutralized whenever she comes into close contact with Yuuri being evident, I hope this series does not head down a cliché-type ending where they somehow overcome all of this in the end by defeating Dragon and changing Ameri's shortsighted ways. Seeing Nabeshin was quite a treat, though.

I would hope for the Dragon to have something sinister up his sleeve, like making Ameri fight against Yuuri and Mashiro while telling Yuuri about all the lonely feelings that Ameri went through when Yuuri spent too much time with Mashiro.

I mean this in the best way possible but I think there is very little chance that this show is going to turn out to be anything but this seasons fulfillment of the rule that every anime season/year must have a few shows which implement certain cliché stories.

If they were to try and avoid the most obvious end and go the route of Mashiro giving up and going back to being a nature deity and Yuuri getting with Ameri somehow I feel like it would go against the whole theme of the series which seems to be about coexistance between spirit creatures and humans. I think Ameri represents the worst attitude humans could have in the coexistence debate. She is jealous/angery towards a spirit creatures for 'taking' what she thinks belongs to her. She must be won over from her selfish desire to keep spirits and humans separated just so she will have less competition for resources.

Episode ten is out! What I would pay for Yuuri not to be stubborn with his mission of co-existence and just realize that his childhood friend has feelings for him. Like what Sankuro shouted at him and what Mashiro said, Yuuri just needs to settle his problems with Ameri alone and have her feel at ease that he still cares for her, if that's even the case anymore.

I couldn't expect much action from an H-game anime adaptation, anyway. Everything about this episode was underwhelming: Yuuri could have prevented this problem if he wasn't so damn stubborn about his co-existence mission and talked to Ameri when she needed him the most while Ameri could have confessed earlier (as Mashiro pointed out) to have Yuuri stay with her forever. Oh, and that power-up at the end was so lame that it was funny. Glad to have Nue back, though.

Nue is what really made this show worth continuing for me. I think I guessed out the plot back in episode 3 or 4 so I wasn't surprised by any of the occurrences. One more ep for everyone to reconcile their issues with each other.

The only thing I'm curious about is whether Ameri confess despite Yuuri's obvious love for Mashiro just to have it out in the open or if she will just stop being bitter about it and let him go. I also wouldn't put it past them to have it end with Ameri confessing and Yuuri facing the two of them together waiting for his answer.

    Final episode is up!

I really wish there was a Nue anime in production... I would watch it right away! Decent anime with problems that could have been solved with a simple talk, without having a dunce main character, like usual. Hell, even the Dragon just needed a talk and he would have been converted to avoid this whole mess. These last few episodes were really horrid, though.

I have been dreading this last episode, so I finally watched it. While it was agonizing to sit through through the moral and verbal discussions of philosophy, the only good part was the wedding ceremony and the omake at the end.

Assuming the omake is true, the setting appears to be several hundreds, maybe a thousand years finishing after denouement where Mashiro and Yachimata's descendant are finally reunited (or maybe the universes of Heaven and Earth merged together). If this happened, I wonder which girl Yuuri would have had to end up with in order to continue his lineage...
