Im actually gonna wait till DB , Shinsen or gSS comes out with a torrent.
Same, I'll be waiting for that too. Or maybe a release by Thora. The above link is to a 1080p 4.77GB file too, so bad news for those wanting to back it up onto a single-layer DVD, unless you're re-encoding.
I should say too, that that release comes with Jap and Eng audio, but no subs, so the dub-haters would appreciate this, even if it's only 720p yet 6.5GB >.<":

Note: Japanese audio only. English soft-subs included. Thora plans to release a 1080p version later too.

Edit: Apparently the torrent is "invalid" as of time of editing.......

Damn if the 720p is 6.5 gb I wonder how much the 1080p would be...well over 10 gb I reckon. I am still going to buy it because I have it preordered but I must say I am going to grab the 1080p version for sure!

....You guys.. the 720p release is only because, and its clearly labeled to, have the DTS audio track, which is always a seperate track from the video files(dolby and other are included in the video files).

This is an animation which means the video was created digitally, meaning zero noise, meaning a perfect image... or in other words, it doesn't need a huge bitrate to still produce a very nice picture. I think scene rules state that animated features should use a lower bitrate.

So having a 5gb file for a 1080p release isn't odd at all.

    I think its a 6.5 gb release for a 720p...not 1080p.

So for those of you who haven't watched yet and are still thinking about getting this, here are some of the changes:
    - Characters in fight scenes are not "picture prefect" they actually get dirty/bruised/bloody
    - Most of the additional footage is during the last hour(read: the part with lots of ass kicking)
    - The Additional footage changed some of the fight scenes(some significantly) and added a lot of good flavor.

For a Directors Cut, this was way more then I expected. The higher resolution is all well and good, but this, just like AC its self, is phenomenal.

I wanted to ask did any of those groups release Advent Children Complete yet? Looked on google but most of it is bs.
No one but the enemy will ever teach you how to destroy and conquer. Only the enemy shows you where you are weak. Only the enemy tells you when he is strong. And the rules of the game are what you can do to him and what you can stop him from doing to you. I am your enemy from now on. From now on, I am your teacher."

Feels like FFX: International version all over again. That said, SE isn't the only company at fault for pulling such stunts.

Then again, should I even be complaining? Bought AC back when and left it on my shelf to collect dust after watching the fansubs.

The 1080p version is going to take a long time to grab off of the torrent *sigh*

Liked most of the new scenes, most of them filled in spots that made transitions feel less jarring.

    "battle damage" was cool too.

And the new Omnislash is even more badass than it was originally.

The 720p release was stunning. It totally blew away the DVD version from 4 years ago.

    Awesome.

Have to say of all the game -> full motion picture adaptations I've seen this is still my absolute favorite. The full version is sooo much better than the initial release I can't believe they cut all those scenes.

Lol cut? Dude the original would've originally been only 20 minutes long or so, they only lengthened it because there was demand for a feature length movie.
All the scenes in complete are extra, not cut ones.
