I thought that would only include upscaling and shortening the length of the series.
They could have applied whatever extra filters and tweaks they wanted in addition to stretching and cutting things out. Giving the battles a touch up seems like a decent investment given that the animation overall is 30 years old. I wouldn't go so far as to expect it but I wouldn't be surprised if some of the battles scenes look a little more vibrant than we remember.
Good episode I enjoyed most of it still its like a digital remaster.

I can't compare them, but Suppiido is fine. No mistranslations that I have noticed, though I would only notice big ones (or ones that involve the word 'nakama').

After watching both, Suupido sounds alot more "run through a translator"ish.
SafetyDance is doing a much better localization.
And yes, Kuririn and Luffy have the same VA.

I've never seen DBZ, just finished watching the original seriesBut I dunno if I can wait all these weeks to watch Kai :/ Was going to watch a few then follow on from the old episodes but guess that won't work if they are cut already.
None of the stuff that got cut out really matters to the story (though Trouble on Arlia is worth watching), so you can jump in to Kai's training if you want.

I watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ghost Busters, X-Men etc. Dragonball wasn't so easy to follow in the UK I think it was only showed on the sky chanels. But thanks, I started the original DBZ now and so far so good. Raditz needs some pants though!
