Sela is also there on the run. She calmed down a bit after she started to play alongside Dan... but I think something clicked on her when she heard Dan's past. She must have remembered something of her own sad past and will probably end up getting nearer Dan as well.

At this point of the story Rouge has more chance than the other two, followed by Sela... but yeah... the long lost friend stereotype will give Miyuki her chance later on.

    Anime-Media - Basquash! 11

Is it just me, or was the animation on this episode somewhat lacking?

    Indeed it was.
Miyuki is a bit late to try and act jealous.

The files are twice the size and the quality really isn't any better. The only upside is they are a day or 2 faster.

Basically download Umai only if you can't wait I wouldn't even consider archiving them due to the MASSIVE file size.

    But what about the translation?

  11. #71
Umai's subs are pretty good. I've never even heard of Anime-Media so I can't speak on their behalf.

I agree that Umai's files are way too big. I re-encode every episode to 320 MB for archiving.

Anime media is 230 Megas, and i can vouch for their quality in both raws and subs

You might want to reconsider your choice for archiving

I've only downloaded umai since episode 1. I've never seen one from anime-media.

HDD of 320 GB so... not an issue for me that they use files so big.

Because their video is 1024x576, while Umai's is 1280x720. That's over 50% higher resolution, so 320 MB is pretty reasonable. I can probably resize Umai's to 1024x576 and encode them to 233 MB like I do for Yuki's Haruhi releases. In fact, I'm going to try that for episode 13 and see what it looks like.

    502 MEGAS!!!!???

  20. #80
Yeah, it's getting more and more out of hand. There's absolutely no reason for a 500 MB file. The worst I've ever seen was AonE-Menclave's 700 MB episode of Macross Frontier final episode. This takes second place.
